Target faculty and research roles first
Baylor's strongest sponsorship history sits in academic and research departments. Focus your search on tenure-track faculty positions, postdoctoral fellowships, and research scientist roles, where international hiring and H-1B sponsorship are most established.
Understand Baylor's H-1B sponsorship process
Baylor sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation roles, typically in research, engineering, and academic departments. Engage Baylor's Office of International Education early in your application process to understand the institution's internal sponsorship procedures and timelines.
Check for Green Card pathways in long-term roles
Baylor has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, typically for faculty and senior professional staff. If you're targeting permanent residency, prioritize roles with long-term growth potential and ask about PERM sponsorship support during the interview stage.
Leverage F-1 OPT and CPT as a bridge
Baylor supports F-1 OPT and CPT, making it a viable option for international students seeking practical training before pursuing employer sponsorship. If you're on OPT, target Baylor roles that historically convert to long-term H-1B sponsorship.
Canadian nationals should explore the TN visa route
Baylor sponsors TN visas for eligible Canadian professionals in qualifying occupations like engineers, scientists, and certain academic roles. The TN route bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely, making Baylor a particularly attractive employer for Canadian job seekers.
Find Baylor's open sponsored roles in one place
Baylor posts roles across multiple channels, making it hard to identify which positions include sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find Baylor's active openings without guessing which roles qualify.
