The Assistant Director of Volunteer Engagement supports the university’s volunteer ecosystem by coordinating programs, partnerships, and processes that foster meaningful volunteer involvement. This role assists the Director of Volunteer Engagement with recruitment, onboarding, training, stewardship, and recognition efforts to ensure volunteers are engaged and aligned with the university’s mission. The Assistant Director works collaboratively, as directed, with campus partners, alumni engagement teams, and volunteer leaders to deliver a high-quality and consistent volunteer experience.
A bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience are required.
A valid US Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required.
Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas.

- Support the development, implementation, and day-to-day coordination of volunteer engagement programs serving academic units, admissions, and affinity groups.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training logistics.
- Provide ongoing support and communication to active volunteers to encourage retention.
