Align your credentials to FDA-regulated contexts
Boston Scientific operates in a heavily regulated device environment, so framing your Healthcare background around FDA submissions, clinical trial protocols, or 510(k) experience signals direct relevance and strengthens the specialty occupation argument USCIS evaluates during H-1B adjudication.
Target roles with degree-specific job requirements
H-1B eligibility depends on the role qualifying as a specialty occupation. Positions in clinical science, regulatory affairs, or medical safety that explicitly require a degree in a specific field, not just any bachelor's, carry far less adjudication risk at Boston Scientific.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Healthcare roles by sponsorship
Boston Scientific posts Healthcare openings across multiple divisions. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed, saving you from applying to positions where international candidates are screened out early.
Negotiate your start date around H-1B cap season
Cap-subject H-1B petitions can only start October 1 after an April lottery. If you receive an offer outside that window and aren't already in H-1B status, work with your recruiter at Boston Scientific to structure a start date that aligns with USCIS processing timelines.
Prepare your professional documentation before interviews advance
Boston Scientific's HR teams move quickly through offer stages. Have your degree transcripts, any professional licensure, and prior visa approval notices ready before final-round interviews. Delays in document collection can push your start date and complicate the employer's LCA filing timeline with DOL.

Find Healthcare at Boston Scientific JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Boston Scientific sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, Boston Scientific sponsors H-1B visas for Healthcare roles, particularly in clinical affairs, regulatory affairs, and medical safety functions. These positions typically meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires because they demand a specific degree field rather than a general credential. Your offer letter and the role's job description both factor into how the petition is structured.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Boston Scientific?
You can search and apply through Boston Scientific's careers site directly, or use Migrate Mate to browse Healthcare openings that are open to visa sponsorship candidates. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific device or therapy area the role supports, whether that's electrophysiology, endoscopy, or another division, since hiring teams at Boston Scientific are function-specific.
Which visa types does Boston Scientific commonly use for Healthcare roles?
Boston Scientific primarily uses the H-1B for initial work authorization in Healthcare roles, with employment-based Green Card sponsorship, typically EB-2 or EB-3, available as a longer-term pathway. EB-2 is more common for roles requiring advanced degrees in clinical or scientific disciplines, while EB-3 covers a broader range of professional Healthcare positions. The pathway offered depends on the seniority and scope of your specific role.
What qualifications does Boston Scientific expect for Healthcare roles?
Most Healthcare roles at Boston Scientific require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant clinical, scientific, or health-related field, and many senior or specialist positions expect advanced degrees or clinical licensure. Device-specific experience, particularly within FDA-regulated environments, carries significant weight. Roles in regulatory affairs often look for hands-on experience with submissions, while clinical roles may require therapy-area expertise in cardiac rhythm, urology, or endoscopy.
How do I handle timing if my OPT or current visa status is expiring soon?
If you're on OPT, the 60-day grace period after it expires gives you limited runway, so you need a petition filed before that window closes. For cap-subject H-1B roles at Boston Scientific, USCIS requires petitions to be submitted in April for an October 1 start. If your status expires before October 1, discuss cap-exempt alternatives or a bridging arrangement with your recruiter and immigration counsel early in the offer process.
