Align your credentials to regulatory operations
Boston Scientific's Business Operations roles often sit adjacent to quality, regulatory, or compliance functions. Framing your background around process improvement, cross-functional coordination, or FDA-regulated environments will strengthen your application before you ever discuss sponsorship.
Target roles outside the corporate headquarters
Boston Scientific operates manufacturing and commercial hubs across multiple U.S. states. Regional sites sometimes have faster hiring cycles and less internal competition than the Marlborough headquarters, which can work in your favor when sponsorship timelines are tight.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring openings
Not every Business Operations posting at large medtech companies includes sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to surface Boston Scientific roles confirmed against DOL disclosure data, so you apply only where sponsorship is genuinely on the table.
Clarify your visa status early in recruiter conversations
Boston Scientific uses E-Verify and has structured HR processes for initiating H-1B petitions. Disclosing your status in the first recruiter screen prevents late-stage surprises and signals you understand the process, which experienced corporate immigration teams appreciate.
Time your application around the H-1B cap and USCIS filing windows
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, your offer must be in place before the March registration window. For Business Operations roles with a January or February start date, that timing rarely works without premium processing or an existing cap-exempt status.
Build a case for PERM if you are targeting permanent residency
Boston Scientific sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 petitions for Business Operations staff, but PERM labor certification through DOL requires your role to have documented minimum requirements. Roles with broad duties or shifting responsibilities can complicate the process, so clarify job description specifics before your first year ends.

Find Business Operations at Boston Scientific JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Boston Scientific sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Boston Scientific sponsors H-1B visas for Business Operations roles. The company has an internal immigration team that manages petitions through USCIS, covering both cap-subject registrations and transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer. If you are changing jobs, a transfer can begin immediately without waiting for the annual lottery.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Boston Scientific?
Apply directly through the Boston Scientific careers portal. Tailor your application to the specific business unit, whether that is commercial operations, supply chain, or strategic planning, since hiring managers review for functional fit before HR engages on sponsorship. Migrate Mate lists open Business Operations positions at Boston Scientific filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility, which can help you identify the right openings before applying.
Which visa types does Boston Scientific typically use for Business Operations roles?
H-1B is the primary nonimmigrant visa for Business Operations positions, covering roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as business, engineering, or supply chain management. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Boston Scientific has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions, with the pathway depending on the degree level and years of experience the role requires.
What qualifications does Boston Scientific expect for Business Operations candidates needing sponsorship?
Most Business Operations roles at Boston Scientific require a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, industrial engineering, or a closely related field. Roles in commercial or strategic operations often prefer candidates with experience in medical devices or another regulated industry. For H-1B eligibility, the degree must align directly with the specialty occupation definition USCIS applies to your specific job duties.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Business Operations offer at Boston Scientific?
If you already hold H-1B status, a transfer to Boston Scientific can be filed within weeks and you can typically start working once USCIS receives the petition. For cap-subject candidates, the earliest realistic start date is October 1 following a successful March lottery registration. USCIS premium processing, available for H-1B petitions, can reduce adjudication to 15 business days once the petition is filed.
