Verify your credentials before applying
State nursing licensure and any specialty certifications like CCRN or OCN need to be active and transferable before Boston Scientific's HR team can advance your application. Confirm your license is recognized in the state where the role is based.
Target clinical education and liaison roles
Boston Scientific's nursing hires often sit in clinical specialist or education roles rather than direct patient care, since it's a device company. Filtering by titles like Clinical Nurse Educator or Clinical Support Specialist narrows your search to positions that realistically lead to sponsorship.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Boston Scientific nursing postings by visa type so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is confirmed. This saves weeks compared to emailing recruiters to ask about sponsorship case by case.
Ask about LCA timing before accepting an offer
Boston Scientific must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition goes to USCIS. Ask your recruiter where that process stands so you can align your start date realistically and avoid a gap in work authorization.
Align your specialty to the device division hiring
Boston Scientific is organized by clinical divisions like Cardiac Rhythm Management, Endoscopy, and Neuromodulation. Nurses with specialty experience in those clinical areas are stronger candidates because the company needs device-relevant clinical knowledge, not generalist bedside background.

Find Nursing at Boston Scientific JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Boston Scientific sponsor H-1B visas for Nursings?
Yes, Boston Scientific sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Nursing roles, particularly positions in clinical education, medical science, and device support functions. Sponsorship is not automatic for every posting, so confirming sponsorship eligibility during the recruiter screen is the right first step before investing time in the full interview process.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at Boston Scientific?
Apply directly through Boston Scientific's careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to browse current Nursing openings filtered by visa sponsorship status. Tailor your resume to the specific clinical division and device category the role supports. Nursing positions at a medical device company prioritize clinical specialist and education experience over direct inpatient care, so frame your background accordingly.
Which visa types does Boston Scientific typically use for Nursing roles?
Boston Scientific uses the H-1B for temporary work authorization, which covers specialty occupation roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a related field. For permanent residency, the company has filed under EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories, which apply to nurses with advanced degrees or extensive specialty experience. The right pathway depends on your qualifications and the specific role.
What qualifications does Boston Scientific expect for sponsored Nursing positions?
Most sponsored Nursing roles at Boston Scientific require an active RN license, a bachelor's degree in nursing or a closely related field, and specialty experience relevant to the company's device divisions such as cardiac, endoscopy, or neurology. Clinical education or medical device industry experience is often preferred over general hospital floor experience for these non-patient-care roles.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Nursing role at Boston Scientific?
From offer acceptance to work authorization, the timeline depends on your current status and the visa pathway. An H-1B petition filed under standard processing with USCIS takes three to five months. If you are transitioning from OPT, timing must align with the annual cap lottery. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship is a separate, longer process typically starting after you are established in the role.
