Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Sales Consultant Jobs at CDW Jobs
Align your resume to CDW's sales motion
CDW Sales Consultants sell technology solutions to specific verticals like healthcare, government, or mid-market. Frame your resume around solution-based selling and account management, not transactional retail or volume-only metrics, to match what their recruiters screen for.
Target open roles in CDW's core markets
CDW clusters Sales Consultant hiring around its major office hubs. Applying to roles in those locations increases your odds of reaching a hiring manager familiar with sponsorship approvals, rather than a location where it's a first-time conversation.
Confirm your visa category fits the role level
Sales Consultant roles at CDW typically require a bachelor's degree, which supports H-1B specialty occupation classification. If you're on F-1 OPT, verify your graduation date against the 90-day unemployment rule so a delayed offer doesn't create a status gap before your start date.
Ask about LCA timing before accepting an offer
CDW must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B petition goes to USCIS. Ask your recruiter which entity employs you, since CDW has multiple subsidiaries, so the right LCA is filed under the correct employer of record.
Search CDW Sales Consultant roles on Migrate Mate
CDW posts Sales Consultant openings regularly across verticals and locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for CDW roles tagged with visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing from a generic job board listing.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
If your undergraduate degree is from outside the United States, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved service before interviews begin. CDW's H-1B petitions require documented proof that your degree meets U.S. specialty occupation standards for the Sales Consultant classification.

Find Sales Consultant at CDW JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CDW sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Consultants?
Yes, CDW sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Consultant roles. The position generally qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires a bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, marketing, or information technology. CDW has an established process for H-1B filings, so sponsorship for this role is not unusual, though it depends on the specific position and business need at the time of hiring.
Which visa types does CDW commonly use for Sales Consultant roles?
CDW supports several visa categories for Sales Consultants, including H-1B for degree-holding professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in qualifying STEM or business programs, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories. Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 is also available for employees who have demonstrated sustained performance in the role over time.
What qualifications does CDW expect for Sales Consultant candidates?
CDW typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related discipline, combined with prior experience in B2B or solution sales. Familiarity with technology products, including hardware, software, or managed services, is a strong differentiator. Candidates who can speak to vertical-specific selling, such as public sector or healthcare, tend to progress further in CDW's interview process for this role.
How do I apply for Sales Consultant jobs at CDW?
You can browse and apply for Sales Consultant openings at CDW directly through their careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters CDW roles by visa sponsorship availability so you can focus on positions where sponsorship is confirmed. When applying, tailor your application to the specific vertical or market segment the role covers, since CDW organizes its sales teams by customer segment rather than geography alone.
How do I plan my timeline if I need CDW to sponsor my H-1B?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, USCIS accepts registrations in March for an October 1 start date. That means you need an offer in place before the registration window opens. Starting your job search at CDW in the preceding fall gives you enough runway to clear interviews, receive an offer, and have your employer submit your registration before the March deadline closes.
