Obtain state licensure before applying
California requires active licensure for most clinical Healthcare roles before an employer can file a visa petition. Get your RN, MD, or relevant license in order early, USCIS and your employer both need it on file before the process can start.

Find Healthcare at Clinica Sierra Vista JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Clinica Sierra Vista sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, Clinica Sierra Vista sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Healthcare roles. Positions that meet the specialty occupation standard, typically those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as medicine, nursing, or allied health, are eligible. Your employer files the H-1B petition with USCIS, but you'll need active California licensure and a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL before that filing can begin.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Clinica Sierra Vista?
You can search for open Healthcare positions directly on Clinica Sierra Vista's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, make sure your resume reflects U.S.-recognized credentials and any active state licensure. Clinica Sierra Vista operates across multiple community health center locations in California, so specifying your preferred region in your application can help match you to the right role.
Which visa types does Clinica Sierra Vista commonly use for Healthcare roles?
Clinica Sierra Vista sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation Healthcare positions and has used EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for longer-term hires pursuing permanent residence. F-1 OPT and CPT are options for recent graduates in eligible Healthcare programs, and TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying Healthcare occupations. Physicians in underserved settings may also be eligible for a J-1 visa waiver through the Conrad 30 program given Clinica Sierra Vista's FQHC designation.
What qualifications are expected for Healthcare roles at Clinica Sierra Vista?
Requirements vary by role, but most clinical positions require an active California state license, a degree from an accredited program, and relevant patient care experience. Foreign-trained applicants will typically need a credential evaluation showing their degree is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's or higher. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a genuine advantage at Clinica Sierra Vista given the patient population they serve across the Central Valley.
How do I think about the timeline for visa sponsorship in a Healthcare role at Clinica Sierra Vista?
Healthcare hiring at Clinica Sierra Vista involves several parallel timelines: credentialing, state licensure verification, and the visa filing process. For H-1B cap filings, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start date, so your offer and documentation need to be ready well in advance. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically takes one to three years from start to approval. Building in buffer time for licensing and credentialing on top of those immigration timelines is essential.
