Reach out to the international hiring office early
Liberal arts colleges like Colby typically coordinate visa sponsorship through a dedicated international office or HR team. Contacting them before your interview to confirm sponsorship eligibility for your specific role avoids surprises late in the process.

This range of visa types reflects a genuine commitment to hiring international talent across academic and professional roles.
Which departments or roles at Colby College are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Colby College is most common in tenure-track and visiting faculty positions, research-intensive roles, and specialized administrative or technical staff roles where the position requires a specific advanced degree.
