About Cyngn
Based in Mountain View, CA, Cyngn is a publicly-traded autonomous technology company. We deploy self-driving industrial vehicles — specifically autonomous tuggers — to factories, warehouses, and other facilities throughout North America. To build this emergent technology, we are looking for innovative, motivated, and experienced leaders to join us and move this field forward. If you like to build, tinker, and create with a team of trusted and passionate colleagues, then Cyngn is the place for you. Key reasons to join Cyngn:
- We are small and big. With under 100 employees, Cyngn operates with the energy of a startup. On the other hand, we’re publicly traded. This means our employees not only work in close-knit teams with mentorship from company leaders—they also get access to the liquidity of our publicly-traded equity.
- We build today and deploy tomorrow. Our autonomous vehicles aren’t just test concepts—they’re deployed to real clients right now. That means your work will have a tangible, visible impact.
- We aren’t robots. We just develop them. We’re a welcoming, diverse team of sharp thinkers and kind humans. Collaboration and trust drive our creative environment. At Cyngn, everyone’s perspective matters—and that’s what powers our innovation.
About This Role
As Cyngn scales its production deployments of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), we are seeking a highly capable Field Services Engineer to join our growing team. This role is essential to the success of our customer deployment production operations and requires both technical skill and field service acumen. You will be a key player in keeping our production systems running smoothly in real-world customer environments.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer locations to perform installation, repair, upgrades, and calibration of production robotic systems.
- Conduct field-based diagnostics, perform root cause analysis, and execute corrective actions to maintain uptime.
- Collaborate with Engineering Services and Engineering teams to deploy software updates, log issues, and provide feedback from the field.
- Replace and configure hardware components, sensors, and subsystems as needed.
- Execute configuration and parameter changes, including network and system settings on deployed robots.
- Interface directly with customer teams to provide status updates, answer technical questions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain logs of service activity, diagnostics data, and configuration changes in a structured and reliable format.
- Support initial site bring-up and commissioning efforts for new deployments.
- Assist with documentation development and service procedure refinement.
- Support weekend and after-hours troubleshooting on an on-call rotation basis.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a technical field service, robotics, or hardware support role.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly (30–50% anticipated).
- Proficiency with Linux terminal, remote troubleshooting, and basic shell scripting.
- Strong hands-on skills with mechanical/electrical components and system-level debugging.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in industrial or warehouse environments.
- Capable of interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working with autonomous systems, mobile robots, or industrial automation platforms.
- Familiarity with Python, ROS, or other scripting and robotics platforms.
- Experience working in production environments with safety and compliance standards.
- Experience configuring WiFi, networking parameters, or embedded systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or remote monitoring dashboards.

- Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Target engineering and autonomy roles
Cyngn's core product is autonomous industrial vehicles, so software engineers, robotics specialists, and machine learning professionals are the most likely candidates for visa sponsorship. Focus your application on roles tied directly to the autonomous driving stack.
Understand Cyngn's H-1B and Green Card track record
Cyngn sponsors both temporary H-1B visas and permanent Green Card pathways. This combination signals long-term investment in sponsored employees, which is worth highlighting when you negotiate your offer and ask about immigration support upfront.
Ask about sponsorship early in the process
As a smaller technology company, Cyngn makes deliberate sponsorship decisions. Clarify visa support before the final interview stage to avoid wasting time, and confirm whether they handle petitions in-house or through outside immigration counsel.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles at verified sponsors
Finding employers with a real sponsorship track record is the hardest part of the job search for international candidates. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors like Cyngn so you can filter by visa type and apply with confidence, not guesswork.
Highlight specialized technical depth in your application
Cyngn operates in a niche area of autonomous systems for industrial settings. Demonstrating hands-on experience with perception, localization, motion planning, or embedded systems gives your application the technical specificity that justifies sponsorship investment from a focused team.

Find Cyngn JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cyngn sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Cyngn sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an established track record of filing H-1B petitions, primarily for technical roles in software engineering and autonomous systems. If you're targeting an H-1B with Cyngn, confirm sponsorship intent during the offer stage and ask whether they use outside immigration counsel to manage the petition process.
Which visa types does Cyngn sponsor?
Cyngn sponsors H-1B and TN visas for temporary work authorization, and supports Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa categories. The company also hires candidates on F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT, making it accessible to international students currently studying or recently graduated in the United States.
What types of roles at Cyngn are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Cyngn is concentrated in technical disciplines that support its autonomous vehicle platform. Roles in software engineering, robotics, machine learning, computer vision, and systems integration are the strongest candidates. Given the company's focus on industrial autonomy, candidates with relevant specializations in these areas are most likely to receive an offer that includes immigration support.
How do I find open jobs at Cyngn that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find roles at Cyngn that include verified sponsorship history. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate filters by real sponsorship data so international candidates can focus on employers who have actually filed visas. Search for Cyngn on Migrate Mate and filter by the visa type relevant to your situation.
How do I approach the visa sponsorship conversation with Cyngn during hiring?
Raise the sponsorship question after you've received a verbal indication of interest but before a written offer is finalized. Ask specifically which visa type they plan to sponsor, whether they work with an immigration attorney, and what the expected timeline looks like. For H-1B candidates, confirming the April lottery registration window is especially important if your current work authorization is expiring soon.
