Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation criteria
Degenkolb sponsors within a technical consulting environment where specialty occupation standards apply directly. Focus your application on structural or civil engineering roles where a degree in a specific field is a clear requirement, not just a preference.
Highlight project-specific technical depth in your application
Consulting firms like Degenkolb evaluate candidates on specialized engineering expertise. Emphasize seismic analysis, structural design, or building performance work in your resume and cover letter to stand out in a technically demanding hiring environment.
Understand the consulting firm sponsorship timeline
Professional services firms often tie hiring to project pipelines. Sponsorship decisions can move quickly once a role is funded. Stay responsive during the interview process and be prepared to discuss your visa status and authorization timeline upfront.
Use verified sponsorship data to prioritize your job search
Not every consulting firm sponsors visas consistently. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your energy on employers like Degenkolb that have a documented track record.

Does Degenkolb Engineers sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Degenkolb Engineers sponsors H-1B visas. The firm has filed H-1B petitions for skilled workers in its structural engineering and consulting practice. While it isn't among the highest-volume sponsors in the industry, its H-1B sponsorship history is documented and consistent with a firm of its size and specialization.
Which visa types does Degenkolb Engineers sponsor?
Degenkolb Engineers sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This range covers students completing U.S. degrees through OPT or CPT, early-career hires transitioning to H-1B status, and Canadian professionals eligible for TN classification in engineering roles.
Which roles at Degenkolb Engineers are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Degenkolb is concentrated in technical engineering roles, particularly structural and civil engineering positions that clearly meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard. These are roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline. Support, administrative, or generalist roles are less likely to qualify for sponsorship consideration.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Degenkolb Engineers?
Migrate Mate tracks companies with verified visa sponsorship histories, including Degenkolb Engineers, and surfaces their open roles in one place. Rather than manually checking company career pages or guessing which postings are sponsorship-eligible, you can browse Degenkolb's listings directly on Migrate Mate and filter by visa type to match your situation.
How do I approach the interview process at Degenkolb Engineers as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Be transparent about your visa status from the first conversation. Consulting firms like Degenkolb make sponsorship decisions early in the hiring process, so clarity upfront avoids surprises later. If you're on OPT, communicate your remaining authorization window and be prepared to discuss the H-1B timeline. Demonstrating technical depth in structural engineering will carry more weight than any other factor in the evaluation.
