Align your certifications to Deloitte's client portfolio
Deloitte's cloud security work spans AWS, Azure, and GCP environments for regulated industries. Holding active certifications like CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or CISSP signals you can bill on client engagements from day one, which strengthens the internal business case for sponsorship.
Target Deloitte's federal and regulated industry practices
Deloitte's Government and Public Services and Financial Services practices consistently staff Cloud Security Architects on long-term engagements. Roles tied to FedRAMP, CMMC, or HIPAA compliance tend to have stronger sponsorship urgency because qualified cleared or clearance-eligible candidates are genuinely scarce.
Search visa-verified Cloud Security Architect openings on Migrate Mate
Filter Migrate Mate's job board by role and visa type to find Deloitte postings that explicitly support H-1B, E-3, or H-1B1 sponsorship. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to listings with no indication of sponsorship intent.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Deloitte's offer letters sometimes distinguish between internal transfer support and new petition filing. Before signing, confirm in writing whether they'll file a new H-1B petition, support a cap-exempt change of status, or only transfer an existing approved petition.
Understand how E-3 processing fits Deloitte's timeline
Australian nationals can apply for an E-3 visa at a U.S. consulate without waiting for the H-1B lottery. Deloitte's in-house immigration team is familiar with this pathway, but you'll need a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before your consular appointment.
Document your specialty occupation evidence before interviews
USCIS scrutinizes Cloud Security Architect petitions where job duties overlap with general IT roles. Prepare a clear narrative of how your work requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a directly related field, not just broad technical experience.

Find Cloud Security Architect at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Security Architects?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Security Architects and is one of the more active H-1B filers in the consulting sector. Sponsorship is most straightforward when your role is tied to a specific client engagement with a defined scope, since Deloitte can demonstrate specialty occupation need more concretely to USCIS.
How do I apply for Cloud Security Architect jobs at Deloitte?
Apply through Deloitte's careers portal and filter by your target practice area, such as Cyber or Cloud Engineering. You can also browse current openings on Migrate Mate to identify which Cloud Security Architect postings explicitly support visa sponsorship before applying. Tailoring your resume to reflect cloud security frameworks relevant to Deloitte's client industries, particularly financial services or government, improves your callback rate.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Cloud Security Architect roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Cloud Security Architects, depending on your nationality. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3, which has no annual lottery and can be filed year-round. For permanent residence, Deloitte supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, typically initiated after you've been with the firm for a period of time and your position is confirmed as permanent and ongoing.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Cloud Security Architect roles?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related technical field, combined with hands-on cloud architecture experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Active certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-provider security specialties are commonly listed as preferred or required. Candidates with experience in FedRAMP, SOC 2, or zero-trust implementation are especially competitive for roles within regulated industry practices.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Deloitte?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, Deloitte files during the April registration window, with an October 1 start date if selected in the lottery. Standard USCIS processing runs three to five months, though premium processing can reduce adjudication to around 15 business days. For E-3 or H-1B1 applications processed at a U.S. consulate, the timeline from offer to visa approval is often shorter, typically four to eight weeks depending on appointment availability.
