Target Deloitte's Structured Intern Programs
Deloitte recruits interns through formal campus programs with defined start dates, not ad hoc hiring. Apply through your university's recruiting calendar, since most sponsored intern offers come through these pipelines, not general applications.
Understand Which Visa Types Deloitte Sponsors
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and employment-based Green Cards. If you're an Australian or Chilean national, ask your recruiter about E-3 or H-1B1 eligibility specifically, since these paths have no lottery and are often faster for full-time conversion after an internship.
Align Your Degree to Deloitte's Practice Areas
Deloitte's sponsored roles require a specialty occupation connection between your degree and the work. For consulting interns, accounting, finance, economics, and computer science degrees have the clearest alignment. A mismatch here can complicate H-1B petitions at the full-time stage.
Ask About Full-Time Conversion Sponsorship Explicitly
During the offer stage, ask Deloitte's recruiting team directly whether the intern role is eligible for H-1B sponsorship upon full-time conversion. Get this confirmed before your OPT clock starts, since USCIS H-1B cap-subject petitions require timing your graduation and lottery registration carefully.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Intern Roles
Deloitte posts intern openings across multiple practice areas and locations at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Deloitte intern roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're targeting confirmed openings rather than guessing from the general careers page.

Find Intern at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Interns?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas primarily at the full-time stage, not during the internship itself. Most interns work on CPT or OPT authorization. If your internship converts to a full-time offer, Deloitte has a well-established process for filing H-1B petitions, including cap-subject lottery registration in March for an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Intern jobs at Deloitte?
Most Deloitte intern roles are filled through on-campus recruiting at target universities, with applications opening in the fall for summer positions. You can also apply directly through Deloitte's careers site. Use Migrate Mate to browse open Deloitte intern positions that include visa sponsorship and filter by practice area or location before applying.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Intern roles?
During the internship itself, most international students use CPT or OPT, both of which are F-1 student authorizations managed through your university, not Deloitte. For full-time conversion after the internship, Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and E-3 for Australian citizens. Employment-based Green Card sponsorship, including EB-2 and EB-3, is available at more senior stages.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for sponsored Intern roles?
Deloitte targets interns pursuing degrees in accounting, finance, business, computer science, economics, and related fields, depending on the practice area. For visa sponsorship to apply at the full-time stage, your degree needs to directly relate to the role, since USCIS requires a specialty occupation connection. GPA, leadership experience, and campus involvement carry significant weight in Deloitte's intern selection process.
How does the timeline work if I want Deloitte to sponsor my visa after an internship?
If you receive a full-time offer after your internship, Deloitte would register you for the H-1B lottery in March of your graduating year for an October 1 start. Your post-completion OPT bridges the gap if you graduate before October 1. STEM OPT extension, available for qualifying degrees, gives you up to 24 additional months of work authorization if lottery timing creates a gap.
