Align Your Background to Deloitte's Service Lines
Deloitte's Sales Engineer roles sit within specific practice areas like Technology, Risk Advisory, or Government and Public Services. Tailor your resume to the vertical you're targeting, not just the generic Sales Engineer title.
Request LCA Details Before Accepting an Offer
Before signing, ask Deloitte's recruiting team which office location will anchor your Labor Condition Application. Prevailing wage levels differ by metro area, and the LCA must reflect your actual worksite, not just a regional hub.
Build a Technical Demo Portfolio Aligned to Consulting Clients
Deloitte expects Sales Engineers to demonstrate solutions in client-facing settings. Prepare documented proof-of-concept work or solution walkthroughs relevant to enterprise clients, which also strengthens your specialty occupation case if USCIS scrutinizes the petition.
Search Filtered Sales Engineer Openings on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Deloitte's Sales Engineer postings by visa type. This surfaces only roles where sponsorship is confirmed, saving you from applying to positions that aren't open to international candidates.
Clarify Transfer-in Timelines During Negotiation
If you're currently on an H-1B with another employer, Deloitte can file an H-1B transfer petition. Cap-exempt portability lets you start as early as USCIS receives the petition, so confirm this timeline in writing during your offer stage.

Find Sales Engineer at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Engineer roles. The company has an established immigration process and works with outside counsel to handle petitions. Sales Engineer positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, which is the foundational requirement for H-1B eligibility. Confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter for the specific role and office location you're targeting.
How do I apply for Sales Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
Apply directly through Deloitte's careers portal or find open Sales Engineer roles filtered by visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. Deloitte's hiring process for this function typically involves a recruiter screen, technical assessment, and multiple rounds with practice leadership. Tailor your application to the specific service line, since Sales Engineer responsibilities vary across Deloitte's Technology, Consulting, and Risk Advisory divisions.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Sales Engineer roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for qualifying employees. H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant route for this function. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and a faster annual cycle. Chilean and Singaporean nationals may qualify for H-1B1. Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically becomes available after an employee establishes tenure.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Sales Engineer candidates needing sponsorship?
Deloitte expects a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a directly related technical field for Sales Engineer roles. Relevant enterprise software experience, client-facing solution delivery, and familiarity with Deloitte's core technology platforms strengthen your candidacy. USCIS requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, so a degree in a field directly applicable to the role is necessary, not just a generalist background.
How do I think about timing if Deloitte files an H-1B for me?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, Deloitte would register you in the March lottery for an October 1 start date. Cap-gap protection covers F-1 OPT holders through that gap period if you have a timely filed I-129. If you're transferring from another H-1B employer, you can start at Deloitte once USCIS receives the petition, without waiting for approval.
