Map your degree to Accelq's tech roles
E-3 requires your degree field to match your job title directly. For Accelq's QA automation and software engineering roles, degrees in computer science, software engineering, or information systems give you the clearest path. A marketing or business degree won't support a developer position, even with years of hands-on experience.
Verify your role qualifies as specialty occupation
Before applying, confirm your target role at Accelq meets the USCIS specialty occupation standard. Pull the O*NET profile for your job title and check that it lists a bachelor's degree in a specific field as the normal entry requirement. This documentation strengthens your LCA and petition package from the start.
Research Accelq's prevailing wage before negotiating
Your E-3 offer must meet DOL prevailing wage for the role's location and job code. Run the OFLC Wage Search using Accelq's state and your SOC code before salary discussions. Coming in at or above the Level II wage signals you're prepared and avoids a last-minute LCA revision that delays your start date.
Ask about internal LCA timelines during offer stage
Accelq's HR or legal team files the LCA with DOL before your visa appointment. DOL typically certifies LCAs within seven business days, but internal preparation adds time. Ask during the offer stage whether they use outside counsel and roughly how long their LCA-to-interview window usually runs so you can align your notice period.
Use Migrate Mate to organize your E-3 filing
Once Accelq extends an offer and the LCA is certified, your E-3 application goes to the consulate, not USCIS. Migrate Mate handles the filing side, including document review and preparation, so you're not piecing together DS-160 instructions and supporting evidence alone while managing a job transition at the same time.
Prepare for specialty occupation questions at your interview
Consular officers at Australian posts sometimes probe whether a software or QA role genuinely requires a degree rather than just experience. Bring your offer letter, degree transcripts, and any certifications relevant to Accelq's tech stack. Being able to explain why the role requires your specific educational background prevents avoidable 221(g) administrative processing holds.
ACCELQ Software Solutions E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Accelq sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Accelq sponsors E-3 visas for Australian nationals in qualifying technology and software roles. The company files the Labor Condition Application with DOL on your behalf before your consular interview. Roles in QA automation, software engineering, and related technical disciplines are the most common fit for E-3 sponsorship at Accelq.
Which roles at Accelq typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that require a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field are the strongest candidates. At Accelq, this tends to include software engineers, QA automation engineers, and product or solutions engineers where the work is tied directly to the company's testing platform. Roles with a generalist or non-degree-dependent requirement are less likely to qualify under the USCIS specialty occupation standard.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Accelq?
The process starts with Accelq filing a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once certified, you complete the DS-160 online, pay the MRV fee, and schedule your consular interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate in Australia. Accelq's HR or immigration counsel typically drives the LCA step. Migrate Mate can handle the full preparation and filing process on your end.
How long does the E-3 process take with Accelq?
DOL certifies the LCA within approximately seven business days. Consular appointment availability in Australia varies by post and season, but most applicants complete the full process from offer acceptance to visa stamp within four to eight weeks. Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth all process E-3 applications, and wait times differ across locations, so checking current availability at each post is worthwhile.
What should I bring to my E-3 interview for an Accelq role?
Bring your certified LCA, DS-160 confirmation page, valid Australian passport, offer letter from Accelq, degree transcripts and diploma, and any credentials or certifications relevant to your role. The consular officer may ask you to explain how your degree directly relates to the position, so be ready to connect your educational background to Accelq's specific technical requirements.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Accelq?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
