Align your credentials with Apollo's deal teams
Apollo hires heavily into private equity, credit, and real assets. Frame your CV around transaction experience, portfolio analysis, or financial modeling rather than generalist finance. Recruiters screening for E-3 candidates at this level prioritize demonstrated deal or investment exposure over broad credentials.
Verify your role qualifies as specialty occupation
Not every finance title clears the E-3 specialty occupation bar. Cross-check your target role against O*NET to confirm it requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Analyst and associate roles in investment management typically qualify; generalist operations titles sometimes don't.
Request LCA filing early in the offer process
Apollo's legal or HR team must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your E-3 application can proceed. Once you have a verbal offer, ask explicitly about LCA timing so consulate scheduling doesn't stall behind internal processing delays.
Benchmark your offered salary against prevailing wage
Apollo must pay the higher of the actual or prevailing wage for your role and location. Before accepting an offer, run the position through the OFLC Wage Search to confirm the offered salary meets DOL's Level I through IV wage thresholds for your specific occupation and city.
Use Migrate Mate to check Apollo's E-3 filing history
Before applying, search Apollo Management Holdings on Migrate Mate to review its verified DOL Labor Condition Application data by role and location. This shows which job titles the firm has filed E-3 petitions for, helping you target roles with a demonstrated sponsorship track record.
Prepare for consular scrutiny on nonimmigrant intent
E-3 visa interviews at Australian consulates routinely probe ties to Australia and your intent to return. Bring documentation of ongoing Australian connections alongside your LCA and employment letter. Apollo's prestige doesn't reduce this requirement; consular officers assess it independently of employer reputation.
Apollo Management Holdings, L.P. E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apollo Management Holdings sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Apollo Management Holdings sponsors E-3 visas for eligible Australian nationals in investment and asset management roles. Sponsorship is tied to specific positions rather than offered broadly, so your best approach is targeting roles in private equity, credit, or financial analysis where the firm has an established E-3 hiring pattern.
Which roles at Apollo Management Holdings typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Apollo tends to concentrate in investment-facing roles such as analyst, associate, and vice president positions across private equity, credit strategies, and real assets. Corporate functions like finance, accounting, and compliance may also qualify if the role requires a degree in a directly related field, as USCIS defines for specialty occupation status.
How do I start the E-3 application process after receiving an offer from Apollo Management Holdings?
After an offer, Apollo's legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once certified, you complete the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, and schedule a consulate interview in Australia. You can appear at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. Migrate Mate can handle the filing preparation and paperwork if you want dedicated support through each step.
How long does E-3 sponsorship take at Apollo Management Holdings?
LCA certification from DOL typically takes around seven business days. Consulate appointment availability varies by location and season, with Sydney and Perth often faster than Melbourne during peak periods. From offer acceptance to visa stamp, most applicants should plan for four to eight weeks, though administrative processing can extend this in some cases.
How do I make my application stand out for an E-3 role at Apollo Management Holdings?
Focus your application materials on quantified investment or analytical outcomes rather than general responsibilities. Apollo's recruitment process is competitive, and E-3 candidates need to clear both the role requirements and the specialty occupation standard. Confirm your job title maps to a qualifying occupation using O*NET before you apply, and be ready to explain the degree-to-role connection clearly during the consulate interview.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Apollo Management Holdings?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
