INTRODUCTION
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, as part of being a distributed-first company.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
At Atlassian, Product Management is a team sport. We work closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to build products that help millions of people do their best work. We care deeply about solving real customer problems, and we're energized by the possibilities AI and new technology bring. If you're someone who loves turning insight into impact—and wants to shape the future of modern work—we'd love to meet you.
You'll join the Usage Based Pricing (UBP) Platform team, sitting at the heart of one of Atlassian's most strategically important transformations: evolving from a per-seat pricing model to a hybrid seat × usage model. As AI reshapes how software is consumed and priced, this team is building the foundational platform and integration layer that powers Atlassian's Usage-Based Pricing (UBP) strategy — across products like Rovo, Automation, Assets, and more. This role is the connective tissue between platform capabilities and the product teams, GTM functions, and customers who depend on them.
Atlassian is in the midst of a critical transformation: moving from a pure per-seat model to a hybrid seat × usage pricing model to stay competitive in an AI-native world. The CBP Platform already supports monthly, site-bounded usage types for products like Bitbucket and RovoDev, and is rapidly expanding to support org-pooled usage with Rovo credits and indexed objects.
As the Senior Principal PM for UBP Integrations, you won't just build features — you'll be the steady, strategic force driving alignment across R&D and GTM as Atlassian scales its usage-based pricing across the entire product portfolio. You will set the principles for what gets metered and why, define how meters come to market, and orchestrate integrations across a highly complex web of product, sales, and commerce stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own the integration strategy for CBP Platform — define the principles for what becomes a meter, how meters are brought to market, and how integrations are prioritized and sequenced across products including Rovo, RovoDev, Automation, Assets, API, CSM, and Storage
- Drive the meter rollout strategy — propose and align on a sequenced rollout plan that balances speed, business impact, and organizational readiness across integrator teams
- Lead cross-functional alignment across R&D (Eng, PM, PMM for each integrator product) and GTM (Sales Strategy, PMM, Growth, Commerce, SalesOps, UTS, Admin) to ensure integrations land on strategic timelines
- Define and enforce data quality standards for each meter — ensuring usage events accurately represent real user actions worthy of metering, and establishing continuous monitoring frameworks
- Shape the global "service degradation" experience — define what happens to the user experience when an org hits its usage limit, ensuring portfolio-level experience cohesion across all meters
- Resolve meter-specific integration challenges — such as transitioning JSM Assets' existing CBP customers to the new Platform, or determining the right pooling granularity model for RovoDev credits
- Develop the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for UBP Integrations, with exec-level buy-in and clear communication of trade-offs and rationale
- Serve as the "reasonable force in the middle" — the person who brings competing team timelines into mutual alignment that makes overall sense for Atlassian
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- Strong recent experience in platform or commerce product management, ideally with exposure to pricing, packaging, billing, or monetization platforms
- Experience developing a multi-year strategy and roadmap, gaining buy-in from executive leadership, and rallying large cross-functional teams
- Exceptional ability to navigate organizational complexity — comfortable working across product, engineering, sales, finance, and operations simultaneously
- A track record of building relationships, influencing, and inspiring at all levels of the organization — from your team to peers to executives
- True customer obsession — you go out of your way to understand customer and partner needs and turn them into clear product decisions
- Experience evaluating and designing packaging and pricing for capabilities to drive business outcomes
- A track record of using research and data to demonstrate customer impact and drive prioritization decisions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Typically, product managers at this level at Atlassian have:
- 10+ years of product management experience, with significant time in platform, commerce, or monetization roles
- Experience with usage-based pricing, consumption models, or SaaS billing systems
- Computer science or related technical degree, or equivalent technical depth
- Experience working in high-growth, multi-product SaaS environments with complex GTM motions
- Familiarity with Atlassian's product portfolio (Jira, Confluence, Rovo, Bitbucket, etc.) and how it goes to market
COMPENSATION
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Atlassian E-3 Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Align your degree to the role
Atlassian's E-3 roles require a specialty occupation, meaning your degree field must directly relate to the job. A software engineering role supported by a computer science degree clears this bar; a general business degree does not. Check the O*NET profile for your target job title before applying.
Target teams with recurring E-3 history
Atlassian's engineering, cloud infrastructure, and developer tooling teams have consistent E-3 hiring patterns. Focus your applications on roles in these functions rather than exploratory or newly created positions, which are less likely to have an established sponsorship workflow.
Raise sponsorship during the offer stage
Don't wait until an offer is extended to confirm Atlassian will sponsor your E-3. Ask the recruiter directly during the final interview round whether the role has been approved for E-3 sponsorship, so you're not navigating that conversation under deadline pressure.
Verify your prevailing wage tier early
Atlassian files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your visa is processed, locking in a wage at or above the prevailing rate for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the wage level for your job title and city before you get to offer negotiations.
Prepare your credential documents before the LCA is filed
Atlassian's immigration team needs your degree transcripts and, if your degree is from a non-U.S. institution, a credential evaluation confirming U.S. equivalency. Have a certified evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator ready before the filing process begins to avoid delays.
Use Migrate Mate to track Atlassian's E-3 filing activity
Search Atlassian on Migrate Mate to see its verified DOL Labor Condition Application history by role and location. This tells you which job titles and U.S. offices have active E-3 sponsorship, helping you target your application to the positions most likely to move forward.
Atlassian E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Atlassian sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Atlassian sponsors E-3 visas for Australian nationals in qualifying specialty occupation roles across its U.S. offices. The company has an established immigration program and regularly files Labor Condition Applications with DOL to support E-3 hires, particularly in software engineering, product, and cloud infrastructure functions.
Which roles at Atlassian typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Atlassian is most common in software engineering, site reliability engineering, product management, and UX design. These roles consistently meet the specialty occupation standard because they require a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. General operations, sales, or support roles are less frequently sponsored.
How do I apply for an E-3 visa through Atlassian?
Once Atlassian extends a job offer, its immigration team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL to certify the prevailing wage. After LCA approval, you complete the DS-160, schedule a consular interview at a U.S. embassy in Australia, and attend the interview with your LCA, offer letter, and supporting credentials. USCIS is not involved in consular E-3 filings.
How long does the E-3 process take at Atlassian?
The LCA certification from DOL typically takes around seven business days. Consular appointment availability in Australia then determines the overall timeline, with Sydney and Melbourne wait times varying by season. Most applicants complete the full process within four to eight weeks of receiving a certified LCA from their employer.
How do I find open E-3 jobs at Atlassian?
Search Atlassian on Migrate Mate to see roles the company has sponsored for E-3 visas, filtered by job title and location using DOL Labor Condition Application data. You can also apply directly through Atlassian's careers page and indicate your E-3 visa status during the application, which signals to recruiters that no lottery or USCIS petition is required.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Atlassian?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
