Why you should consider joining:
- Record-setting growth, having gone from zero to 8-figure ARR within three years of founding, representing 95th+ percentile company growth among startups that achieve these milestones
- Strong product market fit revealed in growth and through customer love, with users describing the platform as “the best thing since sliced bread” and "life-changing"

About The Role
We’re hiring software engineers to join us onsite in San Francisco. You’ll build critical systems, services, and customer-facing features end-to-end. You’ll be doing a lot of zero to one, breaking down high-level goals, diving into ambiguity and experimenting to find the best solutions. As an early employee, you’ll also contribute heavily to building the company’s team and culture. Our stack: TypeScript, React, Node, Postgres, GraphQL (Apollo), Next.js. Learn more about our engineering culture and learnings on our engineering blog.
You might be a good fit if you have/are:
- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer
- A strong desire to directly understand customer problems and design solutions for them
- Demonstrated abilities in one part of the stack (e.g. front-end / back-end)
- Desire for self-directed learning quickly in an early-stage startup environment
- Familiarity or interest in Typescript, React, GraphQL, Postgres, or Next.js
- Not required: insurance knowledge – we promise, you’ll pick up the necessary pieces fast!
Our team & philosophy
We’re backed by BOND, Spark Capital, Neo, and Workday, as well as founders/executives from Brex, Asana, Plaid, Applied Intuition, Coalition, and more. Our team hails from companies like Airbnb, Google, Brex, and LiveRamp and we’re fairly low-profile: focusing the majority of our energy on delivering for customers and building a category-defining company. We’re hiring predominantly in San Francisco 🌁, as we believe in-person collaboration is strategically important for a company at our stage — both for velocity and company culture.

Align your degree to Ardent Labs's tech stack
Ardent Labs's software roles require a specialty occupation match, meaning your degree field must directly relate to the position. Map your computer science, software engineering, or IT degree to the specific role description before applying, not after an offer arrives.
Pull the prevailing wage before salary talks
Use the OFLC Wage Search to find the DOL prevailing wage for your target role and location before any compensation discussion with Ardent Labs. Your E-3 approval depends on the offered salary meeting or exceeding that threshold, so knowing the floor protects your filing.
Confirm E-3 experience during the interview process
Ask Ardent Labs's recruiter or hiring manager directly whether their legal team has filed E-3 petitions before. Companies that have processed E-3 applications previously move faster and make fewer LCA errors than those encountering the visa type for the first time.
Use Migrate Mate to handle your E-3 filing
Once Ardent Labs extends an offer, Migrate Mate's dedicated E-3 visa experts manage the LCA filing with DOL and prepare your full consular package. This is especially useful when Ardent Labs's HR team is unfamiliar with E-3 mechanics and needs a structured process to follow.
Check your O*NET job zone before submitting
Look up your target role in O*NET to confirm it sits in a job zone requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. USCIS scrutinizes software and technology roles where degree requirements vary, so having this documentation ready strengthens your specialty occupation argument.
Time your application around Ardent Labs's hiring cycles
Technology companies like Ardent Labs often hire in Q1 and Q3 to align with product roadmaps and budget cycles. Targeting these windows shortens the gap between offer and start date, which matters because your E-3 is tied to a specific employer and role from day one.
Comulate E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ardent Labs sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Ardent Labs sponsors E-3 visas for Australian professionals in technology and software roles. The company has filed E-3 Labor Condition Applications through DOL for qualifying positions. Australian candidates with a relevant degree and a confirmed job offer in a specialty occupation role are eligible to apply through the consular process.
Which roles at Ardent Labs typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
Ardent Labs's E-3 sponsorship is concentrated in technical and software positions, including software engineering, product development, and data-focused roles. These positions meet the specialty occupation requirement because they demand a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as computer science or software engineering.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Ardent Labs?
After Ardent Labs extends a formal offer, the employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL, which must be certified before you can apply at a U.S. consulate in Australia. You then complete the DS-160, schedule your consular interview, and attend with your LCA, offer letter, and credentials. Migrate Mate can manage this process end to end.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at Ardent Labs?
DOL typically certifies the LCA within seven business days of submission. Consular appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth then determines the overall timeline. Most applicants complete the full process within four to six weeks of receiving their offer letter, though consulate backlogs can extend this during peak periods.
How do I strengthen my E-3 application for a role at Ardent Labs?
Document the connection between your degree and the specific role clearly, since USCIS and consular officers assess specialty occupation on a case-by-case basis for technology positions. Confirm the offered salary meets DOL prevailing wage thresholds using the OFLC Wage Search, and ensure your credentials are translated and authenticated before your consular interview.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Ardent Labs?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
