Match your degree to Caremark's specialty occupation standard
Caremark's E-3 roles in pharmacy operations, clinical analytics, and health informatics require a degree directly related to the position. Confirm your Australian qualification maps to the U.S. specialty occupation definition before applying. A three-year bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent by USCIS.
Verify prevailing wage before accepting an offer
Before signing anything, run your target job title and location through the OFLC Wage Search to confirm Caremark's offered salary meets the DOL prevailing wage for that role. Healthcare compensation varies significantly by state, and your LCA wage level must align with your actual duties.
Target Caremark's clinical and pharmacy operations teams
E-3 sponsorship at Caremark is most common in roles requiring specialized healthcare knowledge, such as pharmacy benefit management, clinical data analysis, and population health. Searching by department rather than just job title helps you identify postings where sponsorship is a realistic expectation rather than a long shot.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Caremark's filing history by role
Pull Caremark's LCA filing history filtered by occupation code on Migrate Mate before your interview. This shows which job titles Caremark has actively sponsored under the E-3 and related visa categories, giving you concrete talking points and letting you target roles with a demonstrated sponsorship track record.
Clarify the LCA timeline with your hiring contact early
The LCA must be certified by DOL before Caremark can issue your DS-160 supporting documentation. In healthcare operations roles, onboarding timelines can be tight. Asking your recruiter early whether the LCA is already filed or needs to be initiated helps you avoid delays between your offer date and your start date.
Prepare for O*NET classification questions during negotiations
Caremark recruiters in healthcare services may be unfamiliar with how the E-3 specialty occupation standard applies to specific roles. Referencing the O*NET occupation profile for your job code lets you demonstrate that your position meets the degree requirement threshold, which can move a hesitant recruiter toward initiating sponsorship.
CVS Health E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Caremark sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Caremark sponsors E-3 visas for Australian professionals in qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is most common in healthcare services areas such as pharmacy operations, clinical data, and health informatics. Not every open position includes sponsorship, so it's worth confirming with the recruiter during your initial conversation whether the specific role supports E-3 filing.
Which departments at Caremark typically support E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Caremark is most commonly associated with roles in pharmacy benefit management, clinical analytics, population health, and health informatics. These functions require specialized degree-level knowledge that satisfies the E-3 specialty occupation standard. Corporate and administrative roles may be less likely to include sponsorship unless the position has a clear degree-field requirement.
How do I start the E-3 application process after receiving a Caremark offer?
Once Caremark extends an offer, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL for certification. After LCA approval, you complete the DS-160 and schedule a consular interview in Australia. USCIS is not involved in the initial E-3 consular process. Migrate Mate can manage the filing steps on your behalf if you want dedicated support through each stage.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at Caremark?
The LCA certification typically takes seven business days, after which Caremark can issue your supporting documentation. Consular appointment wait times at Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth vary by season and demand. In most cases, the end-to-end process from signed offer to visa stamp runs four to eight weeks, though administrative processing can extend that window.
How do I find open E-3 roles at Caremark before applying?
Search Caremark's careers page filtering for roles in clinical, pharmacy, or health informatics functions, and flag positions where the requirements specify a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Cross-referencing Caremark's DOL LCA filing history by occupation code helps you prioritize roles where E-3 sponsorship has been used before, reducing uncertainty during negotiations.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Caremark?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
