Frame your credentials around specialty occupation
FleishmanHillard's E-3 roles fall under communications and strategic consulting, which means your degree must directly relate to the position. A marketing or communications degree strengthens your case far more than a general business credential.
Target practice groups that hire Australians
Focus your outreach on FleishmanHillard's corporate communications, public affairs, and reputation management teams. These practice areas have the deepest need for senior specialist skills and are most likely to initiate E-3 paperwork for the right candidate.
Verify the prevailing wage before negotiating
Your E-3 offer must meet the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the wage level for your specific job title in the city where FleishmanHillard is hiring before you enter salary discussions.
Confirm LCA filing before your visa appointment
FleishmanHillard's HR or legal team must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before you can apply at the consulate. Ask your hiring contact directly when the LCA will be submitted so your consulate appointment timing lines up.
Use Migrate Mate to prepare your filing documents
Once FleishmanHillard issues your offer and the LCA is certified, Migrate Mate can handle the E-3 filing paperwork so nothing gets missed. Their flat-fee service is built specifically for E-3 applicants and works alongside your employer's process.
Use O*NET to strengthen your specialty occupation argument
If your role at FleishmanHillard sits in an area like digital strategy or stakeholder engagement, pull the O*NET occupation profile for your job title. It documents the degree requirements that support your specialty occupation classification at the consulate.
FleishmanHillard E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does FleishmanHillard sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, FleishmanHillard sponsors E-3 visas for Australian professionals in qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is most common in communications, public relations, and strategic consulting. The firm handles the Labor Condition Application through its HR or external legal team, but you'll need to demonstrate your degree directly relates to the offered position.
Which roles at FleishmanHillard typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles in corporate communications, public affairs, reputation management, and strategic consulting are the most likely to qualify. These positions align with the E-3 specialty occupation requirement because they typically demand a degree in communications, public relations, or a closely related field. General coordinator or administrative roles are less likely to meet the threshold.
How do I start the E-3 application process at FleishmanHillard?
After receiving a written job offer, FleishmanHillard's HR team files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL. Once the LCA is certified, you complete the DS-160 online, schedule your consulate appointment in Australia, and attend the interview with your LCA, offer letter, and degree credentials. USCIS is not involved in consular E-3 applications.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at FleishmanHillard?
The DOL typically certifies the LCA within seven business days. After that, consulate wait times in Australia vary by location and season but often run one to four weeks. Most candidates move from signed offer to visa stamp within four to six weeks, assuming documents are complete and no additional administrative review is triggered.
How do I improve my chances of getting E-3 sponsorship at FleishmanHillard?
Position yourself for roles where your Australian degree and experience map directly to FleishmanHillard's specialist practice areas. Before your offer stage, use Migrate Mate to understand exactly what documentation you'll need. Confirming early that your role meets specialty occupation criteria and that your employer is prepared to file the LCA saves significant time once an offer is made.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at FleishmanHillard?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
