Align your degree to Intuit's role taxonomy
Intuit's engineering and data roles require a degree in a directly related field, not just any technical background. Map your specific degree discipline to the job's listed requirements before applying, a mismatch here is the most common E-3 denial trigger.
Target Intuit's platform and data teams
Intuit's TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma business units run large engineering and data organizations that routinely file work visas. Filtering your job search to these product lines improves your odds of landing with a team that has existing immigration experience.
Confirm specialty occupation fit using O*NET
Before your final-round interview, pull the O*NET occupation profile for your target role. Intuit's HR team will need this classification to support the Labor Condition Application, and arriving with that knowledge signals you understand the sponsorship process.
Ask about LCA timing before accepting an offer
The Labor Condition Application must be certified by DOL before your visa appointment. Ask Intuit's recruiting team directly whether they initiate LCA filing immediately after offer acceptance, delays here push your consulate appointment date further out.
Use Migrate Mate to check Intuit's LCA filing history
Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer and role, so you can see which Intuit job titles have cleared prevailing wage certification. This tells you which positions are realistic sponsorship targets before you invest time in the application.
Negotiate salary at or above the prevailing wage tier
Intuit's offers for sponsored roles must meet DOL prevailing wage requirements for your occupation and location. Run the OFLC Wage Search for your specific job code and metro area before negotiations so you understand the wage floor your offer must clear.
Intuit E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Intuit sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Intuit sponsors E-3 visas for Australian citizens in qualifying specialty occupation roles. The company's immigration program covers multiple visa categories including E-3, reflecting an established infrastructure for work authorization. Roles in software engineering, data science, and product management across Intuit's major product lines are the most common sponsorship targets.
Which Intuit departments typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Intuit is most common in technical and analytical functions: software engineering, data engineering, machine learning, product management, and finance technology. Teams supporting TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma tend to have the deepest hiring pipelines and the most experience processing sponsored roles. Corporate finance and accounting roles tied to Intuit's fintech operations also qualify when the specialty occupation standard is met.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Intuit?
After Intuit extends a job offer, the company's immigration counsel files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once certified, you complete the DS-160 online, pay the visa fee, and schedule a consulate appointment in Australia. You attend the interview with your LCA, offer letter, degree credentials, and supporting documents. USCIS is not involved in E-3 consular processing, which removes the petition step required for H-1B visa.
How long does E-3 sponsorship take at Intuit?
The LCA certification from DOL typically completes within seven business days. Consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth then determines the remaining timeline, and wait times vary by location and season. From offer acceptance to visa stamp, most applicants should plan for four to eight weeks, though Intuit's start date flexibility may accommodate shorter or longer timelines depending on consulate load.
How do I find open E-3 roles at Intuit?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by employers with confirmed E-3 Labor Condition Application history, so you can identify Intuit roles where sponsorship is an active pattern rather than a case-by-case decision. When applying directly through Intuit's careers portal, flag your E-3 eligibility early in the recruiter screen so the team can route your candidacy to hiring managers with immigration experience.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Intuit?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
