Align your credentials to quantitative roles
Jump Operations hires heavily for quantitative research and trading technology. Map your degree field directly to the role you're applying for, since the E-3 requires a specialty occupation match. A finance or computer science degree paired with the right job title strengthens your LCA filing.
Verify prevailing wage before salary negotiations
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the prevailing wage for your specific job title and location before any offer discussion. Jump Operations must certify your salary meets DOL wage levels on the LCA, so knowing the floor protects you from offers that can't support a valid filing.
Confirm Jump Operations files E-3 specifically
Jump Operations sponsors multiple visa types including H-1B visa and EB-2. During recruiter conversations, ask explicitly whether the role supports E-3 sponsorship, since some teams may default to H-1B. Confirming this early avoids surprises after an offer is extended and saves filing timeline for both parties.
Prepare an O*NET occupation profile match
Pull your target role's O*NET profile and confirm it lists a bachelor's degree as the standard entry requirement. For quantitative analyst and software developer roles at asset management firms, this documentation helps your employer's attorney demonstrate specialty occupation status if USCIS reviews the petition.
Use Migrate Mate to manage your E-3 filing
Once Jump Operations extends an offer, use Migrate Mate to handle the E-3 filing process with a dedicated visa expert. The flat-fee service covers LCA preparation through consular application, which keeps costs predictable for you and reduces administrative load on the firm's HR team.
Schedule your consular appointment before your start date
E-3 visas are issued at Australian consulates, not through USCIS. After the LCA is certified by DOL, book your appointment at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth as early as possible. Consulate wait times fluctuate, and a delayed appointment can push your start date even after your offer paperwork is complete.
Jump Trading E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jump Operations sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Jump Operations sponsors E-3 visas for eligible Australian nationals. The firm operates across investment and asset management, sponsoring roles in quantitative research, trading technology, and related technical functions. If you're an Australian citizen with a relevant degree and a qualifying job offer, Jump Operations is a legitimate E-3 sponsor to pursue.
Which roles at Jump Operations typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles in quantitative analysis, software engineering, and trading infrastructure are most commonly associated with E-3 sponsorship at Jump Operations. These positions generally require a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard that USCIS and DOL apply when evaluating E-3 filings in asset management environments.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Jump Operations?
After receiving a written job offer, Jump Operations' HR or legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once that's certified, you complete your DS-160, pay the consular fee, and attend an interview at a U.S. consulate in Australia. Migrate Mate can guide you through each step if you're managing the process on your own side.
How long does E-3 sponsorship take at Jump Operations?
The DOL typically certifies the LCA within seven business days. After certification, your consular appointment timeline depends on availability at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. Most applicants complete the full process within four to eight weeks of receiving their offer, though consulate scheduling during peak periods can extend that window.
How do I strengthen my E-3 application for a role at Jump Operations?
Ensure your degree field directly matches the job title on your offer letter and LCA. For quantitative and technology roles, an O*NET occupation profile confirming degree requirements adds supporting documentation. Verify that your offered salary meets DOL prevailing wage levels for your location using the OFLC Wage Search before signing any offer.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Jump Operations?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
