INTRODUCTION
Known is a modern marketing company engineered for the unprecedented opportunities and challenges facing marketers today. We are about 200+ people strong, pairing PhD data scientists with award-winning creatives, strategists, engineers, and expert research teams to produce some of the most innovative and cutting-edge creative work in culture. We believe that when creative truly collaborates with science, strategy, and technology, amazing things can happen.
Ad Age touted that "Known may be the ultimate example of a full-service agency," and honored us with two prestigious recognitions this year: #3 on The A-List as one of the top agencies in the world, and Ad Age's Data & Insights Agency of the year for the second year in a row. Without our incredible partnerships with our clients, spanning across the leading brands in finance, technology, entertainment, media, CPG, real estate, and many other categories, honors like this could not be possible, and also have helped us earn additional awards and recognitions over the years like: Emmys, Clios Entertainment and Sports Awards, Effies, Cannes Lions Awards, ProMax Agency of the Year, and Digiday's Most Innovative Media Agency to name a few.
We couldn't create this award-winning work without seeking out and hiring the best talent. What does it mean to be a Knowner? We are curious innovators, knowledge-hunters who are constantly challenging ourselves to do better and be better for our clients, for our team, and for our world at large. Our offices around the U.S. are open and while most of our people work in a hybrid setting, we are a distributed workforce with a number of Knowners working remotely.

Align your degree to the specific role
Known's E-3 filings are tied to specialty occupation roles, so your degree field must directly match the job title. A marketing degree supporting a brand strategist role clears the bar; a general arts degree for the same role may not.
Research prevailing wage before negotiating
Before your offer letter is drafted, look up the wage floor for your role using the OFLC Wage Search. Known must certify your salary meets prevailing wage on the Labor Condition Application, and knowing the floor strengthens your negotiating position.
Get your credentials evaluated early
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted for E-3 specialty occupation purposes, but Known's HR team may request a credential evaluation. Order a report from a NACES-accredited evaluator before the offer stage to avoid delays.
Target teams where creative strategy meets data
Known sits at the intersection of media and analytics, so roles blending creative direction with audience research or performance marketing tend to appear in their E-3 filings. Focus your applications on hybrid roles rather than purely executional positions.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm Known's LCA history
Before applying, confirm Known has active Labor Condition Application filings for your occupation code. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL LCA data by employer and role, so you can verify sponsorship history for your specific job function before investing time in the process.
Understand the consulate filing sequence
Known's HR team handles the LCA and prepares your support letter, but you file directly at the U.S. consulate in Australia without USCIS involvement. Confirm with Known's immigration contact exactly when the certified LCA will be ready so you can schedule your consulate appointment without delay.
Known E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Known sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Known sponsors E-3 visas for Australian citizens in qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is tied to specific positions rather than offered broadly, so your role must require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Confirming an open role matches your credentials before applying is the most reliable way to assess your eligibility.
Which roles at Known typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
Known's E-3 sponsorship activity is concentrated in media, brand strategy, content, and integrated marketing roles. Positions that blend creative expertise with measurable business outcomes tend to align with the specialty occupation standard. Roles requiring specific technical or analytical qualifications in the media and entertainment space are most likely to meet USCIS criteria.
How do I apply for an E-3 visa through Known?
Once Known extends a job offer, their team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. After DOL certifies the LCA, you complete a DS-160 online and attend a visa interview at a U.S. consulate in Australia. Known provides a support letter and the certified LCA as your core documents. USCIS is not involved in the consulate E-3 process.
How long does the E-3 process take at Known?
The DOL typically certifies the Labor Condition Application within seven business days. Consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth varies by season, so total timeline from offer to visa stamp generally runs three to six weeks. Building in buffer time before your intended start date is advisable, particularly during peak appointment periods.
How do I find open E-3 roles at Known and verify sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate to find roles at Known that are actively associated with E-3 sponsorship history, filtered by your occupation type. Cross-reference the LCA data against current job postings to identify positions where sponsorship is most likely. Reaching out to Known's talent acquisition team directly to confirm E-3 eligibility before a formal application also saves significant time.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Known?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
