Frame your degree around specialty occupation
E-3 requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines. For Chemicals & Materials roles at Murad, a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science strengthens your case far more than a general science background.
Research Murad's technical job titles first
Look for formulation scientist, process chemist, or regulatory affairs roles at Murad. These titles map cleanly to specialty occupation criteria and signal the kind of degree-specific work USCIS expects when reviewing an E-3 petition.
Verify prevailing wage before your salary discussion
Your E-3 offer must meet the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Run your job title through the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating so you know whether the salary Murad is offering clears the threshold required for LCA certification.
Confirm Murad will file the LCA before accepting
The Labor Condition Application is the employer's responsibility, not yours. Before accepting an offer, confirm Murad's HR or legal team is prepared to file with DOL and has done so before. Some Chemicals & Materials employers are less familiar with E-3 mechanics than larger tech sponsors.
Use Migrate Mate to check Murad's filing history
Before your interview, use Migrate Mate to review Murad's E-3 LCA filing history by role and location. Knowing which job titles and work sites Murad has sponsored before tells you where the real opportunities are and helps you tailor your application.
Prepare your credential documentation early
Consulates scrutinize the degree-to-role connection closely in technical fields. Have your official transcripts, any relevant professional certifications, and a clear written explanation of how your coursework relates to the Murad role ready well before your interview is scheduled.
Murad E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Murad sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Murad has sponsored E-3 visas for positions in the Chemicals & Materials sector. Sponsorship is tied to specific roles where the work requires a degree in a directly related field. Your strongest path is applying for technical or scientific positions where that degree-to-role connection is clear and documentable.
Which roles at Murad typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles in formulation science, process chemistry, regulatory affairs, and materials research tend to align with E-3 specialty occupation criteria. These positions require field-specific degrees and involve work that USCIS recognizes as requiring specialized academic preparation. General business or operational roles are less likely to qualify without a strong degree match.
How do I navigate the E-3 application process at Murad?
Once Murad extends an offer, their HR or immigration counsel files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. After LCA certification, you take that document along with your offer letter and supporting credentials to your U.S. consulate interview in Australia. USCIS is not involved in consular E-3 applications, so there's no petition filing required on the employer's end beyond the LCA.
How long does E-3 sponsorship at Murad typically take?
LCA certification from DOL usually takes around seven business days. Consulate appointment availability in Australia is the main variable after that. Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth each have different wait times depending on the time of year. Once you have your appointment, visa decisions are typically issued within a few business days of the interview.
How do I find open E-3 roles at Murad?
Search Murad's careers page directly and filter for roles that match your technical background in chemistry or materials science. Migrate Mate also surfaces Murad's E-3 LCA filing history by job title and location, giving you a clearer picture of where the company has sponsored before. Targeting roles Murad has previously filed for improves your odds of a smooth sponsorship conversation.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Murad?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
