Match your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Saint Francis typically sponsors E-3s for roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher. Use O*NET to confirm your target role meets the specialty occupation definition before applying, so your credentials clearly align.
Target clinical and allied health departments directly
Nursing, pharmacy, therapy, and diagnostic imaging are the departments most likely to carry E-3 sponsorship at health systems like Saint Francis. Applying through general career portals often buries you, reach out to hiring managers in those specific units.
Ask about LCA filing timelines during the offer stage
The DOL requires an approved Labor Condition Application before your consular appointment. When Saint Francis extends an offer, ask HR whether they've filed LCAs for E-3 candidates before and what their typical turnaround looks like.
Verify prevailing wage expectations before negotiating
Your offered salary must meet the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Run the OFLC Wage Search for your job title in the Tulsa area before salary discussions so you know the floor Saint Francis must meet.
Use Migrate Mate to find Saint Francis E-3 filing history
Before your first interview, pull Saint Francis's LCA filing records on Migrate Mate. Seeing which job titles and wage levels they've previously certified for E-3 tells you which roles are realistic targets and what salary ranges to expect.
Prepare your credential evaluation before the offer
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted for E-3 specialty occupation purposes, but Saint Francis HR may request a foreign credential evaluation. Have a NACES-member evaluation ready to avoid delays after you receive an offer.
Saint Francis Health System E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Saint Francis Health System sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Saint Francis Health System sponsors E-3 visas for qualifying Australian professionals in healthcare roles. Sponsorship is most common in clinical and allied health positions where the role requires a specific degree field. Not every open position will come with E-3 sponsorship, so confirm visa support directly with the recruiting team during early conversations.
Which roles and departments at Saint Francis Health System are most likely to receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Saint Francis Health System is most common in specialty clinical roles such as nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and diagnostic imaging. These positions carry clearly defined degree requirements, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard USCIS uses to evaluate E-3 petitions. Administrative or generalist roles are less likely to qualify.
How do I navigate the E-3 application process once Saint Francis Health System extends an offer?
After receiving an offer, Saint Francis's HR or legal team files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL. Once the LCA is certified, you take it to your U.S. consulate interview in Australia along with your offer letter, DS-160, and supporting credentials. USCIS doesn't adjudicate E-3 applications filed through a consulate, so approval happens at the interview stage.
How long does E-3 sponsorship processing typically take at Saint Francis Health System?
The DOL certifies Labor Condition Applications within seven business days in most cases. After that, consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth determines your overall timeline. At busy periods, interview slots can be several weeks out. Build at least six to eight weeks into your start-date discussions with Saint Francis to account for both stages.
How do I know if my target role at Saint Francis Health System qualifies for E-3 sponsorship?
A role qualifies for E-3 sponsorship if it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Check the job posting for degree requirements, then cross-reference your target title on Migrate Mate to see whether Saint Francis has previously filed LCAs for that occupation. If the posting says a degree is preferred rather than required, raise this with the recruiter early since it can affect eligibility.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Saint Francis Health System?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
