Get Your Credentials Evaluated Before Applying
Ensign Services operates licensed skilled nursing facilities, so your nursing degree must meet state RN licensure standards. Get a credential evaluation from CGFNS or an equivalent body before you submit applications, since facility-level hiring teams verify this early.
Target Facilities With Active Open Roles
Ensign operates as a network of independently run facilities, not a centralized hiring pool. Search by specific location rather than company name alone, since each facility posts its own Clinical Nurse openings. Migrate Mate lets you filter Ensign roles by visa type and location in one place.
Confirm the Facility Is Set Up to Sponsor
Because Ensign Services facilities operate semi-autonomously, sponsorship readiness can vary by location. Ask the hiring manager directly whether that specific facility has filed visa petitions recently and works with immigration counsel, before investing time in their process.
Understand the TN Visa Path for Canadian and Mexican Nurses
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship and a qualifying nursing degree, the TN visa is faster to obtain than H-1B and has no lottery. Ensign has hired under TN status for clinical roles, so flag your citizenship early in conversations with recruiters.
Plan Around H-1B Cap Timing If That Is Your Route
H-1B registration opens in March each year for an October 1 start. If you are targeting Ensign on H-1B, have your offer letter and employer paperwork ready by February so your sponsor can register you without delays when the USCIS window opens.
Align Your EB-2 or EB-3 Filing With PERM Requirements Early
For Green Card sponsorship through Ensign, the PERM labor certification filed with the DOL requires the employer to document a genuine recruitment effort. Ask during the offer stage whether Ensign initiates PERM concurrently with your H-1B approval or only after a set tenure period.

Does Ensign Services sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Nurses?
Yes, Ensign Services has sponsored H-1B visas for Clinical Nurse roles. Because Ensign operates as a network of semi-autonomous facilities, sponsorship decisions are often made at the facility level rather than centrally. When you reach the offer stage, confirm directly with the hiring facility that it is prepared to file an H-1B petition and has immigration counsel in place to manage the process.
How do I apply for Clinical Nurse jobs at Ensign Services?
Search for open Clinical Nurse roles by Ensign Services facility location, since each site posts positions independently. You can browse and filter current Ensign openings by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where sponsorship has been confirmed. Apply directly through the facility's listing, and note your visa status clearly in your application so recruiters can route you to the right hiring contact.
Which visa types are commonly used for Clinical Nurse roles at Ensign Services?
Ensign Services has sponsored Clinical Nurses under H-1B and employment-based immigrant visas, including EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. Canadian and Mexican nurses may be eligible for the TN visa, which requires no lottery and can be obtained more quickly. Nurses on F-1 OPT or CPT may also be considered, though the timeline to full sponsorship depends on individual facility capacity.
What qualifications and experience does Ensign Services expect for Clinical Nurse roles?
Ensign Services hires RNs for its skilled nursing and post-acute care facilities, so an active state RN license is required before any offer can proceed. Internationally trained nurses must have their credentials evaluated to confirm equivalency with U.S. nursing degree standards, typically through CGFNS. Prior experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing settings is a strong advantage and may influence both hiring speed and which facilities engage with sponsored candidates.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for a Clinical Nurse at Ensign Services?
Timeline depends on the visa route. An H-1B requires USCIS registration in March, with employment starting no earlier than October 1, making the minimum lead time roughly six to eight months from offer to start date. EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM can take significantly longer due to DOL processing and visa backlogs for certain countries. TN visas for Canadian nurses can be processed at the border in days, making that route substantially faster if you qualify.
