Target design and technical roles first
EwingCole's sponsorship activity is concentrated in architecture, engineering, and related technical disciplines. Focus your applications on roles that align with specialty occupation standards, these are the positions most likely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship at a firm like this.
Understand the firm's full-service model
EwingCole operates across architecture, engineering, and interiors under one roof. Knowing how your specialization fits their integrated delivery model helps you frame your application around how you'd contribute across project phases, a stronger pitch for a sponsoring employer.
Mention your visa status early and clearly
Firms with an established sponsorship track record in construction and design expect candidates to be upfront about authorization needs. Stating your status and timeline in your cover letter avoids delays and signals professionalism to hiring teams familiar with the process.
Align your portfolio with EwingCole's sector focus
EwingCole works across healthcare, higher education, workplace, and civic projects. Tailoring your portfolio to highlight relevant sector experience makes you a stronger fit and demonstrates you understand the firm's project types, which matters to sponsors evaluating long-term investment in a hire.
Explore roles across multiple office locations
EwingCole has offices in multiple cities, and sponsorship opportunities may vary by office and project pipeline. Casting a wider geographic net increases your chances. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find the right opening faster.
Prepare for a longer hiring timeline if Green Card sponsorship is your goal
EwingCole has supported Green Card pathways for technical staff, but EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship typically comes after you've established yourself in a role. Start with H-1B sponsorship and demonstrate your value before raising long-term immigration planning with your manager or HR.
