This role is responsible for managing and maintaining Solaris and Red Hat Linux systems, ensuring adherence to stringent DoD security and compliance standards.

Certification: CompTIA Security+ and RHCSA/RHCSE
Clearance: Secret or higher
Responsibilities:
- Perform all security/compliance functions for Solaris AND Red Hat Linux environments to monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance within specified timelines.
- Perform back-up/recovery functions for Solaris AND Linux server environment.
- Perform hardware and software technology refreshes, ensuring milestone compliance while coordinating with MPs to minimize disruptions.
- Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent UNIX-based Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments, providing technical oversight and consultation services.
- Work with and manage Incident Management tickets within the help desk ticketing system.
- Provide technical support for disaster recovery efforts.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of systems administration experience on UNIX operating systems Linux, Solaris, or HP-UX.
- Experience with Disaster recovery and data replication.
- Hands-on troubleshooting, tuning, and patching experience.
- Experience with administration, configuration, and troubleshooting experience with UNIX Server Cluster, Load Balancing, and Virtualization.
- Certifications: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
