Align your credentials with banking compliance expectations
Regional banks like First Financial prioritize Finance candidates with credentials recognized in U.S. regulatory contexts. A CPA, CFA, or CAMS designation signals you can operate within federal banking frameworks, which strengthens both your hire and sponsorship case.
Target roles with PERM-eligible sponsorship history
First Financial Bank has sponsored Finance roles through the EB-2 and EB-3 green card pathways, which require PERM labor certification filed with the DOL. Focus your applications on analyst, compliance, and treasury positions where employer-sponsored permanent residency is structurally common.
Ask about sponsorship scope during early interviews
Banking employers often distinguish between H-1B and green card sponsorship willingness. Ask your recruiter directly whether First Financial Bank's Finance roles include PERM sponsorship, not just H-1B support, so you understand the full pathway before investing time in the process.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Finance openings efficiently
Finance roles at regional banks fill quickly and aren't always listed on major job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified Finance positions at First Financial Bank filtered by sponsorship type, so you're applying where a visa pathway is already confirmed.
Build experience in federally regulated financial environments
First Financial Bank operates under OCC oversight, so Finance candidates with prior experience at FDIC-insured institutions or in SOX-compliant reporting roles carry a practical advantage. That background reduces the employer's training burden and makes the sponsorship investment easier to justify internally.
Time your application around USCIS H-1B registration windows
If you need an H-1B to start, the annual registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Structure your interview timeline so an offer can be secured before registration closes, giving First Financial Bank time to file on your behalf within the cap-subject window.

Does First Financial Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Finance roles?
First Financial Bank's sponsorship activity for Finance roles has been concentrated in permanent residency pathways rather than H-1B. That said, employer sponsorship decisions are role-specific and can change based on hiring needs. If H-1B support is critical for your situation, raise it directly with the recruiter early in the process to confirm what the bank will cover for your specific position.
Which visa types are commonly used for Finance roles at First Financial Bank?
First Financial Bank has sponsored Finance professionals through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, both of which require PERM labor certification through the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the petition. EB-2 applies to roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers positions requiring a bachelor's degree. The right category depends on the specific Finance role and your qualifications.
What qualifications does First Financial Bank expect for Finance roles?
Finance positions at First Financial Bank typically require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. For senior or compliance-focused roles, a CPA, CFA, or relevant certification strengthens your profile considerably. Prior experience in a federally regulated banking environment, familiarity with SOX compliance, and proficiency in financial reporting tools are practical differentiators that hiring managers consistently look for.
How do I apply for Finance jobs at First Financial Bank?
You can browse and apply for Finance roles at First Financial Bank directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight regulatory compliance experience and banking-specific financial skills, and be prepared to address your work authorization status early in the recruiter screening call.
How do I plan my timeline for a sponsored Finance role at First Financial Bank?
Green card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-stage process. The DOL labor certification alone can take six months to over a year, followed by USCIS adjudication of the immigrant petition. If you're currently on a time-limited status like OPT or H-1B, confirm during the offer stage whether First Financial Bank will file an H-1B extension or H-1B transfer while the PERM process runs concurrently, so there's no gap in your work authorization.
