Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility for Construction Project Managers hinges on demonstrating the role requires a specific bachelor's degree, not just any degree. Frame your credentials around engineering, construction management, or architecture to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation criteria before you apply.
Target Gordian's electronics facility pipeline
Gordian's construction work is tied to electronics and hardware infrastructure, so experience managing data centers, semiconductor fabs, or precision manufacturing buildouts will resonate with their hiring team far more than general commercial construction experience.
Research open roles using Migrate Mate
Gordian regularly posts Construction Project Manager openings across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track these roles by visa sponsorship type so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed, not guessing.
Clarify your OPT or CPT timeline with your DSO early
If you're on F-1 status, confirm your OPT end date before accepting an offer. Gordian sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, but a misaligned timeline between your authorization expiry and the H-1B cap-subject filing window in April can create a gap in work authorization.
Prepare a PERM-ready employment history file
For EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship, DOL's PERM process requires your employer to document your prior experience in detail. Gather offer letters, performance reviews, and project records now so Gordian's counsel can move quickly when the process starts.
Negotiate offer timing around the H-1B filing window
H-1B registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window, work with Gordian's HR team to structure your start date around cap-subject timelines or explore whether a TN classification applies as a bridge.

Find Construction Project Manager at Gordian JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Gordian sponsor H-1B visas for Construction Project Managers?
Yes, Gordian sponsors H-1B visas for Construction Project Managers. The role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which generally means demonstrating the position requires a specific bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as construction management, civil engineering, or architecture. Gordian's electronics and hardware focus means project complexity tends to support that specialty occupation argument well.
Which visa types does Gordian commonly use for Construction Project Manager roles?
Gordian sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for this role. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose occupation aligns with USMCA-listed categories. F-1 OPT and CPT work best for recent graduates early in their career who are targeting a longer-term sponsorship path through H-1B.
What qualifications does Gordian expect for Construction Project Manager positions?
Gordian typically expects a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience managing builds in technology-intensive environments, such as electronics manufacturing plants, hardware labs, or data centers, carries significant weight. Familiarity with schedule management tools, subcontractor coordination, and safety compliance in regulated facility environments is commonly expected for mid-to-senior level roles.
How do I apply for Construction Project Manager jobs at Gordian?
You can browse and apply for Construction Project Manager roles at Gordian directly through Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship is available before applying. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight experience with technically complex or regulated construction environments, as Gordian's work spans electronics and hardware infrastructure where that experience is directly relevant.
How do I plan my timeline if Gordian sponsors my H-1B for this role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed each April for an October 1 start date, so if you receive an offer earlier in the year, your official start may be several months away. If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorization covers the gap. USCIS premium processing is available for faster adjudication and can reduce uncertainty during the wait period.
