Align your credentials with hardware program delivery
Gordian's Project Program Manager roles center on hardware product lifecycles, not generic business operations. Frame your resume around milestone-driven delivery, BOM management, or manufacturing readiness reviews to signal fit with electronics program workflows from the first screen.
Research Gordian's LCA filings before applying
DOL Labor Condition Application disclosures are public record. Search the OFLC disclosure database for Gordian's historical LCA filings under project or program manager titles to confirm prevailing wage levels for your target location before negotiating your offer.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Gordian sponsors multiple visa categories for this function. When an offer is extended, confirm in writing which visa types the company will file, whether they cover premium processing, and who bears legal fees so there are no surprises after you accept.
Use OPT strategically to prove hardware PM value
If you're on F-1 OPT, prioritize joining a hardware-adjacent team rather than a general PMO. USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation eligibility for program management roles, and direct electronics delivery experience strengthens an H-1B petition filed later by Gordian.
Target open roles through Migrate Mate
Gordian posts Project Program Manager openings that explicitly support visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter for these roles by visa type so you're only spending time on positions where your immigration status is already accounted for in the hiring process.
Prepare your PERM documentation early for EB pathways
If Gordian initiates EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, the PERM labor certification requires documenting that no qualified U.S. worker was available. Gather performance reviews, project records, and degree equivalency evaluations in advance so the process doesn't stall on your end.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Gordian sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Gordian sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. Because program management positions must qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, your background should demonstrate that a specific bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field is a standard requirement for the role, not just preferred.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Gordian?
Apply directly through Gordian's careers page or use Migrate Mate to browse their open Project Program Manager positions filtered by visa sponsorship type. Before applying, tailor your application to emphasize hardware program delivery experience, cross-functional team coordination, and any familiarity with electronics manufacturing or product development processes that align with Gordian's core business.
Which visa types does Gordian commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
Gordian sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for this function. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles fall under qualifying USMCA categories. Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically begins after a period of H-1B employment, depending on the hiring team's approval.
What qualifications does Gordian expect for Project Program Manager candidates?
Gordian's Project Program Manager roles in electronics and hardware typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical discipline, along with hands-on experience managing hardware product programs end to end. Familiarity with stage-gate processes, supply chain coordination, and cross-functional milestone tracking in a manufacturing or product development environment strengthens your candidacy significantly.
How do I understand the H-1B filing timeline if Gordian sponsors me?
Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be registered in March for an October 1 start date, meaning there's roughly a six-month gap between lottery selection and when you can legally begin work. If you're already on OPT, confirm with Gordian's immigration counsel whether your OPT end date accommodates this window or whether a cap-exempt filing through a qualifying organization is an alternative worth exploring.
