Frame your credentials around hardware program delivery
Gordian's Program Manager roles sit at the intersection of electronics manufacturing and cross-functional execution. Before applying, document specific experience managing hardware development cycles, supplier coordination, or NPI processes so your resume reflects the scope they're hiring for.
Confirm the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires the position to normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Program Manager roles in electronics hardware meet this bar most clearly when tied to engineering or technical disciplines, so align your application materials accordingly.
Target open requisitions that map to active programs
Gordian posts Program Manager roles in volume, which signals active hiring pipelines rather than one-off backfills. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track open Program Manager listings at Gordian by visa type so you apply to roles already flagged for sponsorship.
Clarify OPT and CPT timelines early in conversations
If you're on F-1 status, your available OPT window directly affects when Gordian needs to begin H-1B cap filing. Bring up your I-20 end date and remaining OPT months before the offer stage so the recruiter can loop in immigration counsel without timeline pressure.
Understand the PERM process for EB-2 and EB-3 paths
Gordian sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for this function, which means a DOL PERM labor certification is typically required. PERM can take 12 to 18 months before an I-140 is even filed, so clarify whether your offer includes a long-term sponsorship commitment, not just H-1B.
Use TN status strategically if you're Canadian or Mexican
Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles may be eligible for TN status, which doesn't require lottery selection and can be arranged quickly. Confirm with Gordian's HR team whether your specific Program Manager role and educational background meet the DOL's TN management consultant criteria.

Find Program Manager at Gordian JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Gordian sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Gordian sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company has an active sponsorship history across this function, particularly for candidates with backgrounds in electronics or hardware program delivery. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are subject to the annual lottery, timing your application and offer process ahead of the April filing window is important.
Which visa types does Gordian commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Gordian sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Program Manager positions. F-1 CPT and OPT are common entry points for recent graduates. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship signals the company is willing to support long-term permanent residency for this function.
What qualifications does Gordian expect for Program Manager roles?
Gordian's Program Manager postings in the electronics and hardware space consistently look for experience managing cross-functional teams through hardware development or manufacturing lifecycles. A technical bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field strengthens both your candidacy and your H-1B specialty occupation eligibility. Experience with NPI, supply chain coordination, or systems integration is frequently referenced in active job descriptions.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Gordian?
You can find and apply for Program Manager positions at Gordian through Migrate Mate, which filters Gordian's open roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify listings that match your authorization status. Apply directly through the job listing and tailor your materials to highlight hardware program delivery experience. If you're on OPT or CPT, include your I-20 end date and visa status clearly in your application or cover materials.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Program Manager offer at Gordian?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B cap filings open in March for an October 1 start, so an offer made outside that window may require bridging on OPT or CPT. TN status can be arranged at the port of entry within days for eligible candidates. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 typically runs 18 to 36 months from initiation to I-140 approval, separate from any priority date wait.
