Job Roles at Autodesk
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Autodesk Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and product roles
Autodesk's Green Card sponsorship is concentrated in software engineering, product management, and design technology. Focusing your search on these departments gives you the strongest chance of landing a role with a clear path to permanent residency.
Ask about Green Card policy during the offer stage
Autodesk has an established sponsorship program, but policies can vary by team and location. The offer stage is the right time to ask HR directly whether the role includes Green Card support and what the typical process looks like.
Find verified Autodesk Green Card roles on Migrate Mate
Not every job listing discloses sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving you from applying to roles at companies that won't support your Green Card.
Prioritize roles in Autodesk's core technology hubs
Autodesk's strongest hiring activity for sponsored roles is in its major U.S. offices. Targeting these locations increases your exposure to teams with established Green Card processes and immigration support infrastructure already in place.
Build your case for EB-2 NIW eligibility if possible
Software and design technology professionals at Autodesk may qualify for the EB-2 National Interest Waiver, which bypasses PERM entirely. If your work has broad impact in your field, this pathway is worth exploring with an immigration attorney.

Does Autodesk sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Autodesk sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The company has a well-established immigration program that supports permanent residency through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories. Sponsorship is most common in technical and engineering roles, and Autodesk typically works with experienced immigration counsel to manage the process.
Which roles and departments at Autodesk typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Autodesk is most concentrated in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, product development, and design technology. Research and machine learning roles also see regular sponsorship. Business and administrative positions are less commonly sponsored, so candidates in technical disciplines have the clearest path to permanent residency support.
How does the Green Card application process work at Autodesk?
Autodesk typically sponsors employees through the PERM labor certification route, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition filed with USCIS under the EB-2 or EB-3 category. The company's immigration team or outside counsel manages the employer-side filings. Employees are responsible for their own I-485 adjustment of status or consular processing once a visa number becomes available.
How long does it take to get a Green Card through Autodesk?
The full timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the visa category. PERM labor certification alone can take 12 to 18 months. For applicants born in India or China, backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can extend the total wait by years. Applicants from most other countries face significantly shorter waits once PERM and I-140 are approved.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Autodesk?
Searching Autodesk's careers page is a starting point, but listings rarely specify Green Card sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate lets you search Autodesk roles filtered by verified sponsorship history, so you can identify positions where the company has a real track record of supporting permanent residency rather than guessing from job descriptions.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Autodesk?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
