Target clinical roles with documented shortages
Denver Health regularly fills nursing, respiratory therapy, and diagnostic imaging positions where U.S. workers are genuinely scarce. PERM labor certification moves faster when the employer can demonstrate recruitment difficulty, so apply for roles in departments with persistent vacancies rather than general administrative positions.
Clarify your EB category before applying
EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers most registered nurses and allied health roles with a bachelor's degree. Ask Denver Health's HR team which category they've filed under for your specific job title before signing an offer, so you aren't surprised mid-process.
Prepare your credential evaluation early
Foreign nursing and medical credentials must be evaluated by a DOL-recognized agency before PERM can proceed. Getting your CGFNS or equivalent evaluation done before Denver Health opens your case removes a common bottleneck that can delay the labor certification stage by several months.
Search verified Green Card sponsors on Migrate Mate
Filter your job search to Denver Health on Migrate Mate to see roles where Green Card sponsorship is confirmed. This saves time you'd otherwise spend cold-contacting HR teams, so you can focus your applications on positions that are actively open to sponsoring permanent residence.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC Wage Search
PERM requires Denver Health to offer the prevailing wage for your role in the Denver metro area. Check the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating your offer to confirm your salary meets the Level I or Level II threshold for your occupation, which USCIS will verify during adjudication.
Secure a multi-year employment commitment in writing
Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a long-term investment for both you and Denver Health, often spanning two or more years from labor certification to visa issuance. Get a written statement of intent from your hiring manager before the process starts to protect both parties if leadership changes.
Denver Health Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Denver Health sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Denver Health sponsors Green Cards for qualifying clinical and technical staff. Sponsorship is most common in nursing, allied health, and specialized roles where local recruitment has been challenging. The process typically runs through the PERM labor certification pathway, and sponsorship is generally tied to a continuing full-time employment offer rather than a short-term contract.
Which roles at Denver Health are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Registered nurses, respiratory therapists, diagnostic imaging technologists, and certain pharmacy and laboratory roles are the positions Denver Health has historically sponsored for permanent residence. Clinical roles in high-demand specialties are the strongest candidates, while purely administrative or entry-level support positions are rarely included in Green Card sponsorship programs at safety-net hospital systems like Denver Health.
How do I start the Green Card process at Denver Health?
Raise Green Card sponsorship during the offer negotiation stage, before you sign your employment agreement. Denver Health's HR or in-house immigration team will typically coordinate with an immigration attorney to file the PERM labor certification with DOL. Your role is to provide employment history, credential evaluations, and educational records promptly to avoid delays in the certification timeline.
How long does the Green Card process take at Denver Health?
PERM labor certification alone currently takes several months once DOL begins adjudication, followed by I-140 petition approval and, depending on your country of birth, a potentially lengthy wait for a visa number to become available. For applicants born in countries without significant backlogs, the full process from PERM filing to Green Card approval often takes one to three years in straightforward EB-3 cases.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Denver Health?
Use Migrate Mate to search Denver Health's current openings and filter for positions where Green Card sponsorship is supported. This gives you a verified list of roles actively open to sponsoring permanent residence, which is more reliable than calling HR departments directly. Once you identify a target role, tailor your application to Denver Health's public health mission and patient population to strengthen your candidacy.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Denver Health?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
