Align your credentials to EB-2 requirements
EPS's engineering roles often qualify under EB-2, which requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability. Confirm your degree maps to the specific role before applying. A master's in electrical engineering carries more weight than a general STEM credential for hardware-focused positions.
Research EPS's PERM-eligible job categories
PERM labor certification requires the employer to prove no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. Focus your application on specialized electronics or hardware engineering functions where your technical skill set is narrow enough to survive DOL's recruitment testing process.
Use OFLC Wage Search before salary negotiations
DOL sets prevailing wage levels that EPS must meet during PERM filing. Before your offer, check OFLC Wage Search for your job title and location. Knowing the Level II or Level III wage band helps you assess whether EPS's offer supports a defensible Green Card filing.
Identify EPS roles with O*NET specialty classifications
Green Card sponsorship at hardware companies flows most reliably through roles with clear degree requirements. Use O*NET to confirm your target job title carries a Zone 4 or Zone 5 education requirement, which strengthens the employer's case during PERM and reduces audit risk.
Raise Green Card intent during the offer stage
Don't wait until onboarding. Ask the hiring manager or recruiter directly whether EPS has sponsored the role or similar roles for Green Card before. Knowing their internal precedent helps you gauge whether sponsorship is a realistic condition to negotiate before you accept.
Find EPS Green Card openings through Migrate Mate
Targeting companies with verified Green Card filing history saves time. Migrate Mate surfaces EPS's sponsorship activity by role type so you can confirm which electronics and hardware positions have active or recent Green Card filings before submitting your application.
EPS Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does EPS sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, EPS sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees, primarily in electronics and hardware engineering roles. Sponsorship is not automatic and typically depends on the position, your qualifications, and business need. Candidates with specialized technical credentials in the company's core product areas are most likely to be considered for sponsorship.
Which roles at EPS are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
EPS's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical engineering functions tied to its electronics and hardware operations. Roles in hardware design, embedded systems, and electrical engineering tend to align with the specialty occupation criteria that support EB-2 and EB-3 filings. General administrative or sales positions are less commonly sponsored.
How do I start the Green Card process with EPS?
The process typically begins with EPS's HR or immigration team initiating a PERM labor certification through DOL. You'll need to provide documentation supporting your qualifications for the role. EPS may work with an outside immigration attorney to manage the filing. Raising sponsorship expectations early in the offer stage helps set a clear timeline with your employer.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at EPS?
PERM labor certification alone can take six to eighteen months depending on DOL processing and whether an audit is triggered. After PERM approval, USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition, followed by consular processing or adjustment of status. For applicants born in high-backlog countries, priority date wait times can extend the total timeline significantly beyond the filing stage.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at EPS?
Migrate Mate lists EPS positions filtered by verified sponsorship history, so you can identify roles where Green Card filings have occurred. Focus on engineering job titles that match your technical background in electronics or hardware. Applying to roles EPS has sponsored before significantly improves your chance of a sponsorship conversation with the hiring team.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at EPS?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
