Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Halliburton Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Align your credentials to EB-2 requirements early
Halliburton's Green Card filings skew toward EB-2 for roles requiring advanced degrees in engineering and geosciences. If your degree is a three-year international program, get a credential evaluation confirming U.S. equivalency before applying, gaps here can slow PERM or trigger a downgrade to EB-3.
Target teams with recurring sponsorship history
Halliburton's drilling, completion, and reservoir engineering divisions have the densest sponsorship activity. When targeting roles, prioritize job postings from these technical teams over corporate or administrative functions, which see less consistent Green Card support and longer internal approval timelines.
Understand what PERM labor certification requires of you
PERM is employer-led, but your documentation matters. DOL requires Halliburton to verify no qualified U.S. workers are available for your specific role. Make sure your resume precisely mirrors the job description duties, any mismatch can complicate the recruitment test and stall your case.
Use OFLC Wage Search to benchmark your offer
Before negotiating or accepting an offer, run your job title and location through OFLC Wage Search to confirm your salary meets the prevailing wage for your DOL wage level. Filing a PERM at a wage below the certified level is a common reason cases get delayed or require amendment.
Clarify Halliburton's Green Card timeline expectations at offer stage
EB-2 and EB-3 priority dates for certain nationalities can mean multi-year waits after PERM approval. Ask your Halliburton recruiter when the company typically initiates Green Card filing after hire, some divisions start within the first year, others wait for tenure milestones that could cost you queue time.
Search Halliburton roles filtered for Green Card sponsorship on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate lets you filter Halliburton job listings by verified Green Card sponsorship history, so you can focus on roles the company has actively sponsored rather than applying broadly and asking HR to confirm eligibility. That shortcut matters when internal sponsorship decisions vary by business unit.
Halliburton Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Halliburton sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Halliburton sponsors Green Cards for qualifying employees, primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based pathways. Sponsorship is most common in technical disciplines including drilling engineering, reservoir management, and geosciences. The company typically initiates the PERM labor certification process on behalf of eligible employees after an internal review period.
Which roles at Halliburton are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Halliburton is concentrated in specialized technical roles: petroleum engineers, drilling engineers, completions engineers, geoscientists, and senior software developers in oilfield technology teams. Roles with a clear specialty occupation degree requirement and limited U.S. labor supply are the strongest candidates for EB-2 PERM filings.
How does the Green Card application process work at Halliburton?
Halliburton's immigration team manages the process through PERM labor certification filed with DOL, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Once the I-140 is approved and a visa number is available based on your priority date, you can file for adjustment of status or pursue consular processing. The employer leads every filing stage.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Halliburton?
PERM certification alone typically takes six to twelve months with DOL, followed by USCIS processing of the I-140 petition. For nationals from countries with visa backlogs, the total wait for a Green Card can extend significantly beyond initial approval. Confirming your priority date category and country of chargeability with Halliburton's immigration counsel early is essential.
How do I find Halliburton jobs that include Green Card sponsorship?
Not every Halliburton job listing confirms Green Card sponsorship upfront. Migrate Mate filters Halliburton roles by verified sponsorship history, helping you identify positions where the company has an established track record of supporting Green Card filings. From there, you can confirm the specific pathway and timeline directly with the hiring team during the offer process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Halliburton?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
