Align your credentials to EB-2 or EB-3
Rimkus hires across engineering, scientific, and technical consulting disciplines. If your role requires an advanced degree or equivalent expertise, target EB-2. If your position is categorized as a skilled worker role, EB-3 applies. Confirm the pathway with your recruiter before PERM filing begins.
Build a PERM-ready documentation file early
PERM labor certification requires detailed proof of your qualifications matching the job description exactly. At a consulting firm like Rimkus, gather degree transcripts, professional licenses, and expert credentials before your offer stage so the DOL recruitment audit moves without delay.
Research prevailing wage for your specialty
Rimkus operates across forensic, engineering, and construction consulting disciplines. Use the OFLC Wage Search to identify the prevailing wage for your specific occupation and location before negotiating your offer. A salary below DOL wage levels blocks PERM certification regardless of employer intent.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Rimkus filing history
Before applying, verify that Rimkus sponsors Green Cards in your specific role and region. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer and occupation code, letting you confirm active sponsorship patterns for consulting roles before you invest time in the application process.
Target roles requiring rare technical expertise
Rimkus sponsors Green Cards when a role demands specialized knowledge that's difficult to source domestically. Frame your background around forensic analysis, structural engineering, or expert witness consulting disciplines where your credentials directly support the employer's burden of proof in a PERM recruitment campaign.
Understand the PERM recruitment period's impact on timing
After your offer, PERM requires Rimkus to run a DOL-mandated recruitment process before filing, adding months before USCIS sees your petition. Factor this into any start-date or H-1B visa cap-gap calculations so your work authorization stays continuous throughout the Green Card process.
Rimkus Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rimkus sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Rimkus sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying roles in its consulting and professional services operations. Sponsorship is concentrated in technical and specialized disciplines such as engineering, forensic analysis, and expert consulting. Not every open role qualifies, so confirming Green Card eligibility directly with the hiring team during the offer stage is essential.
Which roles at Rimkus typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Rimkus tends to focus on roles requiring advanced technical credentials, including engineering consultants, forensic analysts, and expert services professionals. Positions that are difficult to fill domestically and require specialized degrees or licensure are the strongest candidates for PERM labor certification and subsequent EB-2 or EB-3 petition filing.
How do I start the Green Card process at Rimkus?
The process typically begins after you receive and accept a permanent job offer. Rimkus works with immigration counsel to file a PERM labor certification with DOL, which can take several months. Once certified, USCIS reviews the immigrant petition before you can apply for permanent residence through adjustment of status or consular processing.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at a consulting firm like Rimkus?
Timeline depends on your nationality, the visa category, and current USCIS processing backlogs. PERM certification alone typically takes several months, followed by the immigrant petition and the final residency application. Candidates from countries with retrogressed priority dates may face significantly longer waits. Checking the monthly Visa Bulletin through USCIS helps track your place in the queue.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Rimkus?
Migrate Mate aggregates job listings filtered by verified employer sponsorship history, making it straightforward to find Rimkus roles where Green Card sponsorship is a realistic possibility. Filtering by occupation code and consulting industry categories narrows results to positions where your credentials align with the employer's documented PERM filing patterns.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Rimkus?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
