Target product and engineering roles
Tyler Technologies' Green Card filings concentrate in software development and technical product roles supporting government clients. Focusing your search on engineering, QA, and platform teams puts you in the highest-probability path for long-term sponsorship consideration.
Establish yourself on a nonimmigrant visa first
Most Tyler Technologies Green Card sponsorships begin after a period of employment on H-1B visa or another work visa. Joining the company on a nonimmigrant status and demonstrating consistent performance is the most reliable way to enter the Green Card pipeline.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 pathways
Tyler Technologies sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 classifications. EB-2 typically applies to roles requiring advanced degrees or specialized expertise, while EB-3 covers a broader range of professional positions. Clarifying which category fits your role early helps set timeline expectations.
Ask about sponsorship policy during the offer stage
Tyler Technologies recruiters and HR teams are familiar with work authorization questions. Raising Green Card sponsorship directly during offer negotiations, rather than after onboarding, ensures both sides have aligned expectations before you commit.
Use verified sponsorship data when searching
Not every job posting makes Green Card sponsorship explicit. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize Tyler Technologies openings where immigration support is confirmed rather than assumed.
Factor in PERM labor certification timelines
Green Card sponsorship at technology companies like Tyler Technologies typically begins with PERM labor certification, a DOL process that can take a year or more before the I-140 petition is even filed. Starting conversations with your manager early gives the process the lead time it needs.
Tyler Technologies Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tyler Technologies sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Tyler Technologies sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The company files petitions through EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories, primarily for software engineers and technical professionals. Sponsorship is typically initiated for employees who have already established themselves in a role on a nonimmigrant work visa rather than being offered at the point of hire.
Which roles and departments at Tyler Technologies are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Software engineering, product development, and QA roles within Tyler Technologies' technology divisions are the most common candidates for Green Card sponsorship. The company builds specialized software for government and public-sector clients, so demand centers on technical talent in areas like backend development, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise application support.
How does the Green Card application process work at Tyler Technologies?
The process generally starts with PERM labor certification, where Tyler Technologies advertises the position to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. Once certified, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. After I-140 approval and a visa number becomes available, you file for adjustment of status or pursue consular processing to obtain your Green Card.
How long does it take to get a Green Card through Tyler Technologies?
The full process from PERM filing to Green Card approval typically takes several years. PERM labor certification alone can take 12 to 18 months. I-140 adjudication adds additional time, and if your priority date is backlogged, particularly for Indian nationals in the EB-3 category, total wait times can extend significantly beyond the initial filing stages.
How do I find open Green Card sponsorship jobs at Tyler Technologies?
Tyler Technologies posts openings across its engineering and technology divisions, but not all listings specify visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Tyler Technologies roles with confirmed Green Card sponsorship history, so you can focus on positions where immigration support is part of the hiring profile rather than spending time on listings that may not apply to your situation.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Tyler Technologies?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
