Align your credentials to PERM requirements early
PERM requires your education and experience to match the job description exactly. Before applying, confirm your degree field and years of experience fit Worley's posted minimum qualifications, since any gap can force a restart of the labor certification process with DOL.
Target roles in engineering and project delivery
Worley's Green Card filings concentrate in technical and project-based functions. Prioritize positions in process engineering, project controls, and infrastructure consulting, where long-term staffing needs make employers more willing to absorb the multi-year sponsorship commitment required for a Green Card.
Distinguish between EB-2 and EB-3 before your offer stage
EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability; EB-3 covers professionals with a bachelor's degree. Worley typically files EB-3 for most engineering roles, but a master's degree or specialized expertise may qualify you for EB-2, which can affect your priority date and overall wait time significantly.
Negotiate sponsorship intent during the offer conversation
Worley's HR and legal teams initiate sponsorship internally, so raise it explicitly when negotiating your offer. Ask whether the role has an established sponsorship track and which pathway the company files under, rather than assuming sponsorship begins automatically after a performance review or probationary period.
Verify your prevailing wage category using OFLC Wage Search
PERM requires Worley to pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your occupation and location. Cross-check your offered salary against the OFLC Wage Search before signing your offer, since underpayment relative to the wage level can complicate or delay the labor certification filing.
Use Migrate Mate to find Worley Green Card job openings
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified Green Card sponsorship history, so you can see which Worley roles have an active sponsorship track. Search by occupation and location to identify current openings where the employer has already demonstrated willingness to file for permanent residence.
Worley Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Worley sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Worley sponsors Green Cards for qualifying employees in engineering, technical, and consulting roles. Sponsorship is typically employer-initiated after a period of employment and is most common in positions where Worley has identified a long-term staffing need. Candidates should confirm sponsorship intent during the offer and onboarding process rather than assuming it applies to every role.
Which departments at Worley are most likely to sponsor Green Cards?
Green Card sponsorship at Worley is most common in engineering disciplines such as process, mechanical, and civil engineering, as well as project controls and infrastructure consulting. These functions involve specialized technical expertise that is harder to fill domestically, which gives the company stronger grounds to complete the PERM labor certification process required for most Green Card filings.
How do I start the Green Card process at Worley?
The process begins with Worley's internal legal or HR team filing a PERM labor certification with DOL, which documents that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. Once PERM is approved, Worley files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS on your behalf. Your involvement is mainly in providing documentation; the employer drives the timeline and filing decisions.
How long does the Green Card process typically take at Worley?
Total timelines depend on your visa category and country of birth. EB-3 filings for most nationalities can take two to five years from PERM filing to Green Card approval, while applicants from high-demand countries like India or China may face significantly longer waits due to visa backlogs. USCIS publishes a monthly Visa Bulletin that tracks current priority dates by category and country.
How do I find Worley jobs that include Green Card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate shows job listings filtered by verified Green Card sponsorship history, making it easier to identify Worley roles where the company has an established filing track. You can search by job title, location, and visa type to focus your application on positions where sponsorship is a realistic outcome rather than speculative.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Worley?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
