Job Roles at Yelp
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Yelp Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical roles
Yelp's Green Card sponsorship is concentrated in software engineering, data science, and technical product roles. Focusing your application on these departments gives you the strongest chance of landing a position with a clear path to permanent residency.
Confirm sponsorship intent before applying
Not every open role at Yelp comes with Green Card sponsorship. During interviews, ask directly whether the position includes PERM sponsorship as part of the offer package, this saves time and avoids surprises late in the process.
Understand the PERM timeline early
Green Card sponsorship at a tech company like Yelp typically begins with PERM labor certification, which takes a year or more. Starting the conversation with your recruiter or HR contact early ensures you have realistic expectations about when the process begins.
Use Migrate Mate to verify sponsorship history
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you confirm Yelp's Green Card track record before you invest time in the application process. It's a smarter starting point than relying on job postings alone.
Build tenure before sponsorship eligibility
Most tech companies, including Yelp, require employees to demonstrate consistent performance before initiating Green Card sponsorship. Arriving with a strong track record and clear contributions to your team puts you in a better position to request sponsorship.
Align your background with Yelp's core technology stack
Yelp builds consumer-facing platforms at scale, so experience in backend systems, machine learning, or platform infrastructure is particularly valued. Roles that directly support Yelp's core product are more likely to receive long-term investment, including Green Card sponsorship.

Does Yelp sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Yelp sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees, primarily in technical and engineering roles. Sponsorship typically follows a period of employment and strong performance. The process runs through PERM labor certification, followed by an immigrant visa petition. Not every role includes sponsorship, so confirming this during recruitment is important.
Which roles and departments at Yelp are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Software engineering, data science, machine learning, and technical product management are the departments where Green Card sponsorship is most common at Yelp. These roles align with the company's core technology business and represent the positions where Yelp has historically invested in long-term talent retention through permanent residency support.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Yelp?
The process typically starts with Yelp's immigration team or an outside counsel filing a PERM application with the Department of Labor, certifying that no qualified U.S. worker was available for the role. Once PERM is certified, Yelp files an I-140 immigrant petition. Your role is to provide documentation, respond promptly to requests, and stay in close contact with your HR or immigration contact throughout.
How long does the Green Card process take at Yelp?
From PERM filing to receiving a Green Card, the process can take anywhere from two to several years depending on your country of birth and visa category. Indian and Chinese nationals face significantly longer waits due to annual visa backlogs. Yelp generally initiates the process after an employee has established tenure, so the full timeline from hire to Green Card approval can extend well beyond that.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Yelp?
Migrate Mate is a useful starting point because it lets you filter job listings by verified sponsorship history, so you can see Yelp's actual Green Card track record rather than relying on vague language in job postings. From there, apply directly through Yelp's careers page and use the interview process to confirm whether the specific role includes Green Card sponsorship as part of the offer.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Yelp?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
