Job Roles at Zayo Group
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Zayo Group Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles in Zayo's core infrastructure teams
Green Card sponsorship at Zayo is most common in technical roles tied to network engineering, software development, and systems architecture. Focusing your applications on these departments gives you the strongest chance of landing a sponsored position.
Confirm Green Card intent during the offer stage
Ask directly about Green Card sponsorship before signing an offer. Zayo's HR and immigration teams handle sponsorship case by case, so clarifying the company's willingness early prevents surprises after you've already started in a role.
Understand the PERM process before you start
Zayo typically pursues Green Cards through the PERM labor certification route. Knowing how PERM works, including the employer's recruitment obligations and documentation requirements, helps you ask informed questions and set realistic timeline expectations.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Zayo's sponsorship history
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, including Green Card filings. Checking Zayo's profile before applying helps you confirm current sponsorship activity and identify which role types have historically led to permanent residency.
Build tenure before expecting Green Card initiation
Technology companies like Zayo typically begin Green Card proceedings after an employee has demonstrated value in a role. Treating your initial visa status as a foundation and focusing on performance builds the case for your employer to invest in sponsorship.
Align your role to a specialty occupation with a clear degree requirement
Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 requires the position to have a defined educational requirement. Roles in software engineering, network architecture, and data systems at Zayo tend to meet this threshold more cleanly than generalist or hybrid positions.

Does Zayo Group sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Zayo Group sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. Sponsorship is most common in technical and engineering roles where the company has a long-term retention interest. It is not offered universally across all positions, so confirming sponsorship availability for your specific role during the hiring process is important.
Which roles at Zayo Group are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Zayo Group is concentrated in technology and infrastructure roles, including network engineers, software developers, systems architects, and related IT specialists. These positions align with EB-2 and EB-3 classification requirements and represent the core of Zayo's workforce where long-term talent investment is prioritized.
How does the Green Card application process work at Zayo Group?
Zayo Group typically sponsors Green Cards through the PERM labor certification process under EB-2 or EB-3 categories. This involves the employer conducting a supervised recruitment process, filing a labor certification with the Department of Labor, and then submitting an immigrant petition with USCIS. Your immigration attorney, paid by Zayo, coordinates the filings on your behalf.
How long does the Green Card process take at Zayo Group?
The timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the visa category used. For applicants born outside India or China, the PERM and EB-3 process can take two to four years or more from initiation to approval. Indian nationals face significantly longer waits due to per-country backlogs. Starting early and tracking your priority date is essential.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Zayo Group?
Zayo Group posts open positions through its careers page, but not all listings specify visa sponsorship availability. Migrate Mate aggregates verified sponsoring employers and lets you filter specifically for Green Card sponsors, making it easier to identify which Zayo roles have a realistic path to permanent residency before you apply.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Zayo Group?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
