Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation requirements
AIG PC Global Services typically sponsors H-1B visas for positions requiring specialized degree-level expertise, such as actuarial science, data analytics, software engineering, and risk management. Focus your application on roles where a specific bachelor's degree or higher is a formal requirement.
Apply well before the April H-1B cap season
H-1B registrations open each March for an October start date. To be included, you need an employer willing to register you before that window. Starting conversations with AIG PC Global Services recruiters by January gives you the best chance of being included.
Understand AIG's internal sponsorship approval process
Large insurance firms like AIG PC Global Services typically require internal HR and legal sign-off before committing to H-1B sponsorship. Ask recruiters early whether the specific role and business unit have approved sponsorship, not just whether the company sponsors in general.
Use verified sponsorship data to prioritize your job search
Not every AIG PC Global Services job posting will explicitly state H-1B sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on roles where sponsorship has actually been filed before.
Highlight insurance-specific credentials and technical skills
AIG PC Global Services prioritizes candidates with credentials relevant to insurance operations, such as actuarial exams, risk certifications, or financial modeling experience. Demonstrating specialized domain knowledge strengthens your case for H-1B sponsorship by reinforcing the specialty occupation requirement.
Clarify your current visa status and work authorization timeline upfront
If you're on OPT or a cap-exempt visa, communicate your authorization end date to the recruiter early. AIG PC Global Services HR teams need enough lead time to coordinate legal counsel and meet Department of Labor Labor Condition Application filing requirements before your current status expires.
Aig PC Global Services H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does AIG PC Global Services sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, AIG PC Global Services sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying positions. The company has a documented history of H-1B filings, primarily for roles in insurance, technology, and data-related functions. Sponsorship decisions are made on a role-by-role basis, so confirming sponsorship availability for your specific position with the recruiter is an important early step.
Which roles and departments at AIG PC Global Services typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at AIG PC Global Services is most common in roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, including actuarial analysis, software development, data science, risk management, and financial analysis. Positions that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field are far more likely to be approved for sponsorship than generalist roles.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at AIG PC Global Services?
Once AIG PC Global Services agrees to sponsor you, the company's legal team files a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, followed by an H-1B petition with USCIS. If you are subject to the annual cap, your petition must be submitted in April for an October start date. Cap-exempt candidates, such as those already holding H-1B status, can be filed at any time.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at AIG PC Global Services?
For cap-subject candidates, the process runs roughly six to eight months from registration in March to the October 1 start date. Internal approvals, Labor Condition Application certification, and USCIS adjudication all add time. Standard USCIS processing takes several months, though premium processing is available for a faster decision. Build in extra time if your current work authorization is expiring soon.
How do I find open H-1B jobs at AIG PC Global Services?
You can browse AIG PC Global Services job listings directly on their careers page, but sponsorship availability is not always stated in job descriptions. Migrate Mate helps by surfacing companies with verified H-1B sponsorship histories, including AIG PC Global Services, so you can identify and apply to roles where sponsorship is a realistic outcome rather than an afterthought.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Aig PC Global Services?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
