Job Roles at Ankura Consulting Group
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Ankura Consulting Group H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation standards
Ankura typically sponsors H-1B visas for positions requiring specialized knowledge in consulting, analytics, or advisory services. Focus your applications on roles where a specific degree field is clearly required, not just preferred.
Raise sponsorship early in the interview process
Consulting firms like Ankura make hiring decisions quickly. Bring up your H-1B sponsorship needs before the final round so the firm can involve HR and legal counsel without delaying your offer timeline.
Demonstrate niche expertise that justifies sponsorship
Ankura operates in specialized practice areas including disputes, cyber, and transactions. Candidates with deep technical or domain expertise in these areas make a stronger case for sponsorship than generalist consulting applicants.
Use Migrate Mate to identify verified H-1B sponsors
Not every consulting firm sponsors H-1B visas consistently. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your search on firms like Ankura that have an active record.
Understand the H-1B cap and timing constraints
If you need a new H-1B rather than a transfer, USCIS runs one lottery per year with an April start date. Coordinate your job search timeline at Ankura so an offer can be secured before the registration window opens.
Highlight client-facing project experience from previous consulting roles
Ankura values professionals who can deliver results in complex advisory engagements. Prior consulting experience strengthens your H-1B petition by demonstrating the specialized, project-based nature of the work the visa is intended to support.

Does Ankura Consulting Group sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Ankura Consulting Group does sponsor H-1B visas, though its sponsorship activity is selective. The firm typically sponsors candidates for specialized consulting and advisory roles where degree-specific expertise is required. If you're actively searching for H-1B-sponsoring consulting firms, Migrate Mate lets you filter companies by verified sponsorship history to target your search effectively.
Which roles at Ankura Consulting Group are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Ankura tends to be concentrated in technically specialized practice areas such as financial disputes, data analytics, cybersecurity, and transaction advisory. Roles that require a specific bachelor's or advanced degree in a defined field carry the strongest case for meeting USCIS specialty occupation standards.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Ankura Consulting Group?
Once Ankura extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, the firm works with outside immigration counsel to file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, followed by an H-1B petition with USCIS. Your role is to provide academic credentials, employment documentation, and biographical information. The process is employer-driven, but staying responsive speeds things up considerably.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Ankura Consulting Group?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, the process begins with lottery registration in March and, if selected, USCIS adjudicates petitions filed in April for an October 1 start date. For cap-exempt transfers from another H-1B employer, USCIS can approve in a matter of weeks under premium processing. Plan your timeline with Ankura's HR team early to avoid gaps.
What should I know before applying to H-1B roles at Ankura Consulting Group?
Ankura's sponsorship decisions are tied to business need and role specificity, not blanket policy. Before applying, confirm the role requires a degree in a specific field rather than any bachelor's degree, as general requirements can complicate H-1B approval. Researching Ankura's practice areas and positioning yourself as a specialist, rather than a generalist, meaningfully strengthens your candidacy.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Ankura Consulting Group?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
