Job Roles at Autodesk
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Autodesk H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles that align with Autodesk's core product areas
Autodesk's H-1B sponsorships are concentrated in engineering and technical roles tied to its design and construction software portfolio. Focus your search on positions in software development, cloud platforms, and product infrastructure for the strongest sponsorship likelihood.
Apply before the H-1B lottery registration window closes in March
Autodesk typically initiates H-1B petitions ahead of the annual April 1 cap season. Securing an offer in Q1 gives your employer enough lead time to file your Labor Condition Application and complete registration before the USCIS deadline.
Highlight specialty occupation qualifications clearly in your application
H-1B approval at any Technology & Software company depends on demonstrating a direct link between your degree and the role. Tailor your resume to show how your specific field of study maps to the technical requirements Autodesk lists in the job description.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Autodesk's sponsorship history before applying
Not every open role at Autodesk comes with confirmed sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize positions where H-1B support is confirmed rather than assumed.
Engage Autodesk's recruiting team early about your visa status
Autodesk's technical recruiters are experienced with H-1B processes, but raising your visa status early avoids late-stage surprises. Mention your need for sponsorship in your initial recruiter screen so the team can align internally before extending an offer.
Leverage Autodesk's global presence if you need a cap-exempt path
If you miss the H-1B lottery, Autodesk's international offices may offer a path to re-enter on a new cap registration. An intracompany transfer after working abroad for a qualifying period can allow you to apply in a future cycle.

Does Autodesk sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Autodesk sponsors H-1B visas and has a consistent track record of doing so across its U.S. operations. Sponsorship is most common in technical roles tied to software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and product development. Autodesk is considered an active H-1B sponsor within the Technology & Software industry.
Which roles and departments at Autodesk typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Autodesk is concentrated in roles that require specialized technical degrees. Software engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, cloud architects, and product designers working on Autodesk's core design and construction platforms are the most commonly sponsored positions. Business and operations roles are sponsored less frequently.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Autodesk?
Once Autodesk extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, its legal or immigration team files a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, then submits an H-1B petition to USCIS during the annual cap registration window in March. You'll need to provide educational credentials, employment documentation, and biographical information. Autodesk typically works with an outside immigration counsel to manage the process.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Autodesk that are open to sponsorship?
Not every Autodesk job posting explicitly states whether sponsorship is available. Migrate Mate aggregates verified H-1B sponsor data so you can search Autodesk openings filtered by confirmed sponsorship history. This narrows your search to roles where sponsorship is a realistic outcome rather than something you have to negotiate from scratch.
What is the typical timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Autodesk?
The timeline depends on when you receive your offer relative to the H-1B cap season. If you're selected in the March lottery, your H-1B status begins October 1. From offer to work authorization, the process spans roughly six to nine months. Candidates already on OPT or another valid status can begin working at Autodesk while the petition is pending.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Autodesk?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
