Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding F5 H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Align your degree to F5's technical roles
F5's H-1B filings cluster around roles requiring degrees in computer science, electrical engineering, or a directly related field. Pull the O*NET profile for your target job title before applying to confirm the specialty occupation classification matches your academic background.
Target F5's application delivery and security teams
F5's core product lines, BIG-IP and NGINX, drive most of its engineering headcount. Roles tied to application delivery controllers, load balancing, and web application firewall development sit squarely in the technical specializations F5 has historically filed H-1B petitions to fill.
Verify your prevailing wage tier before negotiating
F5 operates across multiple U.S. metros with different wage floors. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the Level I through Level IV prevailing wage for your SOC code in the specific city where your role will be based before you discuss compensation.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment during the offer stage
F5 participates in E-Verify, which is a practical signal that their HR and legal teams are set up to process work authorization documents. Ask your recruiter early whether the specific legal entity extending your offer is the enrolled entity to avoid filing delays.
Use Migrate Mate to map F5's LCA filing history
Before your first interview, search Migrate Mate to see which job titles and office locations F5 has filed Labor Condition Applications for. That data tells you which teams have active H-1B infrastructure and which roles are genuinely in scope for sponsorship at this company.
Track the H-1B lottery window and plan your start date
USCIS opens H-1B registration each March for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, confirm with F5's immigration counsel whether cap-gap authorization covers the gap so your employment doesn't lapse between your OPT expiration and your H-1B effective date.
F5 H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does F5 sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, F5 sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying technical roles. Sponsorship is concentrated in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and security-focused positions that meet the specialty occupation standard. F5 has an established immigration process and works with immigration counsel to manage H-1B filings, which means sponsorship support is structured rather than ad hoc.
Which departments at F5 are most likely to sponsor H-1B visas?
H-1B sponsorship at F5 is most common in engineering teams tied to its core product lines, including application delivery, network security, and software development. Roles in cloud platform engineering and security research also appear regularly. Corporate functions like finance and marketing are less likely to generate H-1B filings.
How do I find out if a specific F5 role is open to H-1B sponsorship?
Ask directly during the recruiter screen, before you reach the offer stage. You can also search Migrate Mate to review F5's Labor Condition Application history, which shows which job titles and locations have been filed for under the H-1B program. That data helps you target roles with a real sponsorship track record at this company.
How do I understand the H-1B application timeline at F5?
F5 files H-1B petitions through the annual USCIS cap process, with registration opening each March and the earliest start date of October 1. If you're selected in the lottery, F5's immigration team typically files the full petition in the April to June window. Premium processing is available to reduce USCIS adjudication time if your start date is time-sensitive.
How do I strengthen my H-1B application for a role at F5?
Make sure your degree field directly maps to your target role, since USCIS scrutinizes the degree-to-job connection in specialty occupation determinations. Document any advanced technical certifications relevant to F5's product ecosystem. Review the O*NET profile for your job code to understand how the occupation is defined, and confirm with F5's immigration counsel that your credentials support the petition before the lottery window opens.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at F5?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
