How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Garver H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target technical and engineering roles
Garver's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in technical disciplines within its consulting and professional services practice. Focus your search on engineering, environmental, and infrastructure roles where specialty occupation requirements are clearly met.
Verify sponsorship history before applying
Not every open role at a consulting firm comes with guaranteed H-1B support. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and confirm Garver's commitment before investing time in an application.
Understand the consulting firm H-1B timeline
Consulting firms like Garver typically initiate H-1B petitions well ahead of the October 1 start date. Engage your recruiter early about their internal deadlines so your offer and petition paperwork align with USCIS filing windows.
Highlight your specialty occupation credentials
Garver operates in a field where degree-to-role alignment is scrutinized closely. Clearly connect your academic background to the specific technical function of the job when applying, as this strengthens the specialty occupation argument for your H-1B petition.
Ask about Garver's in-house immigration support
Larger consulting and engineering firms often retain immigration counsel to manage H-1B filings. Confirm early in the hiring process whether Garver handles petitions internally or through outside counsel, so you know who to coordinate with.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Garver sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Garver sponsors H-1B visas and has a documented history of filing petitions for international professionals. The firm also supports EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas, which reflects a broader commitment to hiring and retaining international talent across its consulting and engineering practices.
Which roles at Garver are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Garver is most common in technical and engineering positions, where the specialty occupation requirement is straightforward to establish. Roles in civil, environmental, and infrastructure engineering are strong candidates. Positions that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field align best with H-1B eligibility criteria.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Garver?
Once Garver extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, their immigration team or outside counsel will prepare your H-1B petition. You'll need to provide academic credentials, employment verification documents, and details about your role. The process typically runs through USCIS and, if selected in the lottery, your status becomes effective October 1 of that fiscal year.
How do I know if a specific Garver job posting includes H-1B sponsorship?
Job postings don't always specify visa sponsorship clearly. Migrate Mate verifies sponsorship history directly from government disclosure data, so you can search Garver's open roles and confirm which positions have a real track record of H-1B support before applying, saving you time and avoiding dead ends with roles that won't sponsor.
What is the H-1B timeline I should expect when applying at Garver?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year. If selected in the lottery, Garver's legal team files the full petition by June, with an October 1 employment start date. If you're on OPT or another valid status, you may be able to begin working at Garver earlier while your H-1B petition is pending.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Garver?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
