Verify your credential equivalency early
Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology licenses in the U.S. require credential evaluation through bodies like CGFNS or FCCPT before USCIS will approve your H-1B petition. Start this process months before applying so your credentials are ready when Ivyrehab initiates sponsorship.
Research prevailing wages for your specialty
Ivyrehab must pay you the DOL prevailing wage for your specific therapy discipline and geographic location. Use the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating your offer so you know which wage level your experience supports and can flag any gaps before the Labor Condition Application is filed.
Target Ivyrehab locations with active openings
Ivyrehab operates multiple outpatient clinics across its network. Search Migrate Mate to identify which locations have current H-1B-eligible openings in your therapy discipline, then tailor your application to those specific sites rather than applying broadly to the organization.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology all satisfy this standard, but your offer letter should explicitly state your degree requirement to avoid a Request for Evidence.
Align your interview timing with the H-1B cap calendar
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual cap with registration opening each March. If you're interviewing with Ivyrehab in late fall or winter, confirm whether your role is cap-subject or cap-exempt, and plan your start date around the October 1 employment authorization window accordingly.
Ask HR directly about their immigration vendor
Rehabilitation employers like Ivyrehab typically work with an immigration law firm to manage H-1B filings. Ask your recruiter which firm handles their petitions and what documentation they require from you upfront, so you're not scrambling after the offer letter is signed.
Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Ivyrehab sponsors H-1B visas for qualified rehabilitation professionals. The company has an active H-1B sponsorship history in the healthcare sector, focusing on licensed clinicians in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. Sponsorship is tied to specific open positions, so you'll need a formal offer before the petition process begins.
Which roles at Ivyrehab typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Ivyrehab is concentrated in licensed clinical roles: physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. These disciplines meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements because they require a specific graduate or postgraduate degree in the relevant field. Administrative and support roles are generally not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I start the H-1B application process at Ivyrehab?
The process begins with a job offer from Ivyrehab. Once you have an offer, their HR or immigration counsel files a Labor Condition Application with DOL and then submits the H-1B petition to USCIS. You'll need to provide your credentials, degree transcripts, and any state licensure documentation. The employer drives the filing; your role is to supply accurate supporting materials promptly.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at a healthcare employer like Ivyrehab?
Standard H-1B processing through USCIS typically takes three to six months from petition filing, though premium processing can reduce adjudication to roughly 15 business days. For cap-subject petitions, employment cannot begin before October 1 of the fiscal year. State licensure timelines for therapy roles can add additional lead time before you're cleared to treat patients.
How do I find current H-1B job openings at Ivyrehab?
Migrate Mate lists H-1B-eligible positions across healthcare employers, including rehabilitation companies like Ivyrehab. You can filter by visa type and therapy discipline to see which clinic locations have active openings. Applying directly through a platform that surfaces sponsorship-confirmed roles saves time compared to manually screening general job boards for sponsorship eligibility.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
