Job Roles at Nexon America
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Nexon America H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target technical and engineering roles
Nexon America's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in software engineering, game development, and technical operations. Focusing your search on roles requiring specialized degree qualifications improves your chances of landing a position that qualifies for sponsorship.
Demonstrate specialty occupation credentials
H-1B approval requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Come prepared with a degree in a directly relevant field like computer science or software engineering, and be ready to show how your credentials map specifically to the position.
Engage early in the hiring process
Because Nexon America's H-1B sponsorship is selective, raising your visa needs early in conversations signals transparency and gives the hiring team time to assess sponsorship feasibility before extending an offer.
Verify open roles on Migrate Mate
Nexon America's job listings can shift quickly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and identify which open roles at Nexon America are realistically accessible to H-1B candidates.
Align your experience to the gaming industry
Nexon America operates in a specialized segment of the Technology and Software industry. Candidates whose backgrounds directly address gaming, live-service operations, or game publishing infrastructure are better positioned to secure H-1B sponsorship consideration.
Understand the H-1B cap and lottery timing
Standard H-1B petitions are subject to the annual cap and lottery, with new employment typically starting October 1. Plan your job search and application timeline around USCIS registration windows, usually opening in March for a October start.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Nexon America sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Nexon America sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles in its U.S. operations. Sponsorship is primarily directed toward technical and specialized positions within game development, software engineering, and related functions. Candidates should confirm sponsorship availability directly with the hiring team during the recruitment process, as not every open role will be eligible.
Which roles and departments at Nexon America are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Nexon America is most common in technical disciplines including software engineering, game development, data engineering, and IT infrastructure. Roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field are more likely to meet the specialty occupation standard that H-1B requires. Business and operations roles may see less consistent sponsorship.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Nexon America?
Once Nexon America extends an offer to a sponsored candidate, the company's legal or HR team typically works with an immigration attorney to file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor and then the H-1B petition with USCIS. Candidates should stay responsive to document requests and be prepared to provide degree certificates, transcripts, and employment records.
How do I set realistic timeline expectations for H-1B sponsorship at Nexon America?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, employment can only begin on October 1 following a successful lottery selection in March. From registration to start date, the process spans roughly six months minimum. If you are already on OPT or another work-authorized status, a cap-exempt or change-of-status strategy may allow an earlier start. Confirm your situation with Nexon America's HR team upfront.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Nexon America as an international candidate?
Searching directly on Nexon America's careers page is a good starting point, but Migrate Mate is built specifically for this use case. It aggregates roles from verified H-1B sponsors and lets you filter by company, so you can quickly identify which Nexon America openings are realistically accessible to candidates who need visa sponsorship, saving significant research time.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Nexon America?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
