A World-Changing Company
Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. Our Product Security team works on secure-by-design and deep product partnership. We build strong relationships with other teams and help them build secure software and infrastructure. This includes maintaining central best practices, reviewing early-stage designs, helping develop threat models, and offering guidance through implementation.
The Role
Our products support some of the most important and impactful work in the world, including defense, intelligence, and commercial applications. We are trusted by our customers to protect their mission-critical information in the face of advanced persistent threats. The mission of the Product Security Team is to enable Palantir’s product engineering organizations to build, ship, and operate the most secure and resilient products and infrastructure possible. We partner deeply with engineering teams across the company — from product engineers to forward deployed engineers — to embed security at every layer of what we build. Given the mission critical work that Palantir does, investments in product security have never been more important.
As a Product Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will be hands-on and have wide-ranging impact for the security of Palantir:
- Product security reviews. You will perform full-scope security reviews of our current and future product and service portfolio. You will work with offensive security teams, engineering teams, and other members of the InfoSec organization to harden our products against our dedicated adversaries.
- Architecture and design. You will be the security subject matter expert for product architects and engineers. You will threat model, assess risks, and help implement security controls and mitigations to address identified issues. You will directly steer the design of our products to ensure we are secure-by-default.
- Strategic security initiatives. You will be empowered to own transformational security initiatives that have broad impact across Palantir's most critical platforms. Members of the Product Infrastructure Security Team work directly to secure Palantir's core products, including AIP, Foundry, Gotham, and Mission Manager.
- Vulnerability identification and analysis. You will be responsible for finding new and novel ways to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities in our product infrastructure. This includes posture analysis and management, infrastructure vulnerability scanning, investigation of security reports, and direct work with our incident response team on product security issues and incidents.
This role has wide-reaching impact, strong autonomy, and the resources and empowerment to make significant security improvements across all Palantir. The skills and background of successful candidates may vary highly, but curiosity, tenacity, and a drive to be a world-class security engineer are the underpinnings of our team.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform deep architecture and security reviews on highly complex platform architecture to identify vulnerabilities
- Lead engineering teams in feature design, threat modeling, and security-critical control implementation
- Develop and implement automation to enforce security baselines and eliminate entire classes of infrastructure weaknesses across the organization
- Drive decision-making by determining the tradeoffs between security and product design
- Lead implementation of strategic security initiatives that improve security across Palantir
What We Value
- Self motivated, experience in solving complex problems
- History and experience designing and operating production-grade infrastructure and platform services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfort working with engineering teams across verticals
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly and in complex deployments
What We Require
- Platform engineering experience operating Kubernetes and/or building controllers, and a deep passion for information security
- Experience with a modern high-level programming language (e.g. Java, Golang, Javascript, Python, etc.)
- Experience with complex or distributed platform architectures
- Experience security testing or hardening Kubernetes based platforms
- Experience evaluating Cloud, Linux, and Kubernetes configurations for vulnerabilities and weaknesses

Job Roles at Palantir Technologies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Palantir Technologies H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target Palantir's core technical roles
Palantir's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in software engineering, infrastructure, and data platform positions. Applying to roles that match your technical background directly increases your chances of being considered for sponsorship.
Understand Palantir's mission-driven culture
Palantir hires for alignment with its mission alongside technical skills. Researching its products, Foundry and AIP, and being able to articulate genuine interest in the company's work signals cultural fit that hiring teams actively look for.
Apply early in the H-1B lottery cycle
H-1B cap registrations open in March each year. Palantir typically begins hiring for cap-subject roles well before then, so timing your application in the fall or winter gives the process enough lead time before the lottery window.
Highlight systems-level impact in your application
Palantir's engineering teams work on large-scale data systems and enterprise infrastructure. Emphasizing experience with distributed systems, backend architecture, or deployment pipelines aligns your profile with the specialty occupation standard Palantir uses to support H-1B petitions.
Use verified sponsorship data when searching for roles
Not every Palantir job posting will mention visa sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify which Palantir openings are realistically open to H-1B candidates.
Be transparent about your visa status early
Palantir's recruiting process moves quickly. Disclosing your H-1B need at the initial screen, rather than late in the process, helps the team route your application correctly and avoids delays when an offer is extended.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Palantir Technologies sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Palantir Technologies sponsors H-1B visas and has a consistent record of doing so across its technical workforce. The company supports international hires through the full H-1B process, including cap-subject petitions, cap-exempt filings for qualifying situations, and H-1B transfers for candidates who already hold the status.
Which roles at Palantir Technologies are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Palantir is most common in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, and data engineering roles. Forward-deployed engineer positions, which combine technical work with client-facing delivery, also appear regularly in Palantir's H-1B filings. Corporate functions such as finance and legal may qualify in some cases but are less frequently sponsored.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Palantir Technologies?
Once Palantir extends an offer, its legal and HR teams coordinate the H-1B petition with an immigration attorney. You will provide educational credentials, employment history, and documentation supporting the specialty occupation classification. Palantir covers the employer-side filing fees as part of the sponsorship. Your role is to supply accurate documentation promptly and respond quickly to any requests from the immigration team.
How do I find open H-1B jobs at Palantir Technologies?
Palantir posts openings on its careers site, but sponsorship availability is not always clearly labeled. Migrate Mate aggregates jobs from verified H-1B sponsors and lets you filter specifically for Palantir roles with a confirmed sponsorship record, saving time compared to manually checking whether each posting is open to visa candidates.
What timeline should I expect for H-1B sponsorship at Palantir Technologies?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, the process follows the federal lottery calendar: registration in March, lottery results in late March or April, and petition filing by April 1 for an October 1 start date. Premium processing is available and reduces the USCIS adjudication window to 15 business days. Palantir's internal offer-to-petition timeline typically spans several weeks, so beginning the process as early as possible is important.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Palantir Technologies?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
