Job Roles at Touro University
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Touro University H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target faculty and clinical roles first
Touro University's H-1B sponsorship is most consistently tied to faculty appointments, clinical instructors, and research positions. Focusing your search on these academic roles puts you in the strongest position for sponsorship consideration at this institution.
Understand Touro's academic calendar hiring cycles
University hiring typically follows semester timelines, with most faculty searches concluding in spring for fall starts. Applying early in the cycle gives your department time to file an H-1B petition well before your intended start date.
Highlight credentials that match Touro's health sciences focus
Touro operates several health sciences colleges including osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, and nursing. Applicants with advanced degrees and licensure in these disciplines are particularly well-positioned for H-1B sponsorship consideration across Touro's campuses.
Confirm sponsorship willingness before applying
Not every open role at Touro comes with guaranteed H-1B sponsorship. Contact the hiring department or HR early to confirm their willingness to sponsor before investing time in the application. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history.
Prepare your credentials for specialty occupation documentation
USCIS requires that H-1B roles qualify as specialty occupations. For academic positions at Touro, having your foreign degree evaluated by a NACES-recognized credential evaluation service strengthens the petition and reduces the risk of a Request for Evidence.
Build a relationship with Touro's HR and international office
Universities often have a dedicated office for immigration or international faculty affairs. Reaching out to Touro's HR or international services team early signals seriousness and helps you understand their internal H-1B filing process before an offer is extended.

Does Touro University sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Touro University sponsors H-1B visas. As an accredited university with health sciences, law, and liberal arts programs, Touro has a demonstrated history of sponsoring H-1B petitions for qualified candidates. Sponsorship is selective and most common for specialized academic, clinical, and research roles that meet the specialty occupation standard.
Which roles and departments at Touro University are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Touro University is most common in health sciences disciplines such as osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and occupational therapy, as well as research and faculty positions across its colleges. Administrative roles are less frequently sponsored. Candidates with advanced professional or doctoral degrees in these fields are the strongest fit.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Touro University?
Once Touro extends a job offer and confirms sponsorship, their HR or international affairs office coordinates with an immigration attorney to prepare the H-1B petition. You will need to provide your degree credentials, passport, and employment history. The employer files Form I-129 with USCIS, and if the cap applies, your registration must be selected in the annual lottery before the full petition can proceed.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at Touro University?
Timeline depends on whether you are subject to the H-1B cap. Cap-subject petitions can only be filed after April 1 for an October 1 start, meaning the process from lottery registration to work authorization takes approximately six to eight months. Cap-exempt scenarios, which can apply to certain university roles, allow year-round filing with standard USCIS processing of three to five months, or faster with premium processing.
How do I find open H-1B jobs at Touro University?
Search Touro University's careers page directly and filter for academic, clinical, and research postings. For a broader view of which universities and employers are actively sponsoring H-1B visas, Migrate Mate lists verified H-1B sponsors and lets you filter by industry and visa type, so you can identify realistic opportunities without guessing which employers will actually sponsor.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Touro University?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
