Job Roles at TransUnion
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in TransUnion H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target technical and analytics roles first
TransUnion's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in software engineering, data science, and analytics functions. Candidates with backgrounds in these areas have the strongest alignment with roles that historically receive H-1B support at the company.
Confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying
Not every open role at TransUnion comes with H-1B sponsorship. Review job postings carefully for sponsorship language, and use Migrate Mate to filter for verified H-1B sponsors so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is actually on the table.
Highlight domain expertise in credit and financial data
TransUnion operates at the intersection of data and financial services. Candidates who can speak to experience with credit risk modeling, consumer data pipelines, or fraud analytics stand out in a talent pool that directly maps to TransUnion's core Business Support and Outsourcing operations.
Engage with the recruiter early about visa status
Disclosing your H-1B sponsorship need early avoids wasted time on both sides. TransUnion recruiters in technical divisions are generally familiar with the H-1B process, so a direct, professional conversation about your timeline tends to move things forward rather than stall them.
Build a profile that reduces perceived sponsorship risk
Employers weigh the cost and administrative effort of H-1B sponsorship against a candidate's value. Demonstrating specialized skills that are difficult to source domestically, strong references, and clear career continuity makes the sponsorship investment feel straightforward rather than risky for TransUnion's hiring team.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TransUnion sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, TransUnion sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles, particularly in software engineering, data analytics, and technology product development. Sponsorship is not universal across all open positions, so candidates should confirm sponsorship availability on individual job postings before applying. TransUnion also supports other visa categories including F-1 OPT and TN.
Which departments at TransUnion are most likely to offer H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at TransUnion is most commonly associated with technical functions such as software engineering, data science, machine learning, and product management. Corporate and operational roles in its Business Support and Outsourcing divisions may also qualify, but technical roles with a clear specialty occupation basis tend to have the strongest sponsorship track record.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at TransUnion?
Once you receive and accept an offer, TransUnion's HR and legal teams initiate the H-1B petition process, which includes filing a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor and submitting the I-129 petition to USCIS. The company typically works with an outside immigration law firm. Your role is to provide employment history, degree documentation, and any prior immigration records promptly to avoid delays.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at TransUnion?
The standard H-1B timeline runs from the lottery registration period in March through an October 1 start date, assuming selection and approval. Premium processing is available and can reduce the USCIS adjudication window significantly. If you're transitioning from OPT or another status, the total timeline from offer acceptance to active H-1B status is typically five to seven months under the regular process.
How do I find H-1B jobs at TransUnion that are open to visa sponsorship?
TransUnion posts open roles on its careers site, but sponsorship availability isn't always explicitly flagged. Migrate Mate surfaces verified H-1B sponsors and lets you filter by company, so you can identify TransUnion roles with a confirmed sponsorship history rather than guessing from job descriptions. Focusing your search on technical and analytics postings will narrow the field to positions most likely to include sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at TransUnion?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
