Align your credentials to channel sales standards
Partnership development at Ingram Micro means managing reseller and vendor ecosystems, not just direct sales. Frame your resume around distributor or channel partner experience, co-sell motions, and partner enablement programs before you apply.
Target roles inside Ingram Micro's vendor divisions
Ingram Micro organizes partnership hiring by technology vendor relationship, such as cloud, security, or infrastructure. Applying directly to a division aligned with your background raises your visibility beyond a general business development requisition.
Get your OPT or STEM extension timeline straight
If you're on F-1 OPT, map your authorization end date against a realistic H-1B cap-subject filing window. USCIS cap-subject petitions must be filed for an October 1 start, so a role that starts too late in your OPT window creates a gap you need to plan for explicitly.
Ask about LCA scope during the offer stage
Ingram Micro has offices and partner-facing roles across multiple metro areas. Confirm which worksite location the Labor Condition Application will cover before signing, especially if your role involves hybrid or multi-site client engagements that could trigger DOL compliance obligations.
Search open positions using Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters Partnership Development Manager openings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can confirm Ingram Micro is actively hiring for this role and which visa categories they're supporting before investing time in a full application.
Prepare for specialty occupation documentation early
H-1B approval for business roles increasingly requires evidence that the position demands a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's degree. Gather job descriptions, an organizational chart showing where the role sits, and documentation of partner-facing technical requirements before USCIS filing begins.

Find Partnership Development Manager at Ingram Micro JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Ingram Micro sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Yes, Ingram Micro sponsors H-1B visas for Partnership Development Manager roles. Because these positions involve managing complex vendor and reseller relationships that typically require a specialized degree in business, technology, or a related field, they generally meet USCIS specialty occupation standards. Your offer letter and supporting documentation will need to reflect the degree-specific nature of the role to support the petition.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at Ingram Micro?
Applications go through Ingram Micro's careers portal, where roles are organized by business unit and region. To surface only positions that include visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate, which filters Ingram Micro openings by sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Tailoring your application to the specific vendor division you're targeting, such as cloud or security, significantly improves your chances of moving through screening.
Which visa types does Ingram Micro commonly use for Partnership Development Manager roles?
Ingram Micro sponsors H-1B visas for cap-subject cases and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates already authorized to work in the U.S. For professionals from Canada or Mexico with qualifying business degrees, TN status is also an option for this role category. Longer-term, Ingram Micro has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for business development professionals who demonstrate sustained performance.
What qualifications does Ingram Micro expect for Partnership Development Manager positions?
Ingram Micro typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, technology management, or a related field, combined with experience in channel sales, partner ecosystems, or technology distribution. Familiarity with vendor programs from companies like Cisco, Microsoft, or HP is a clear differentiator. Roles often require demonstrated ability to manage partner pipelines, drive co-sell motions, and coordinate cross-functional enablement programs.
How do I time my H-1B filing if I receive an offer from Ingram Micro?
USCIS opens H-1B cap-subject registration in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window, Ingram Micro's immigration counsel will typically advise on bridging your status through OPT extension, cap-exempt options, or other interim authorization. Lining up your offer timeline with the annual registration cycle, ideally with an offer confirmed before February, puts you in the best position for an uninterrupted start.
